There's no option for advanced formatting in Zoom Chat.

I am using Zoom ver. 5.8.0 on MacOS 11.5.2, Basic Account. As per release notes,

Enhanced rich text message capabilities allow for better chat messages formatting options. These options are available for composing a new message, replies, and editing messages. Expanded options for the desktop client include bold, italics, underlining, strikethrough, highlight and text color, font size, bulleted and numbered lists, hyperlinks, and indenting . https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201361963-New-Updates-for-Mac-OS

The things I bolded are missing.

Check the screenshot. There's no option for it in settings or in the web portal. I am the owner of this account

Hi @ThatManiac ,

I tested this feature on my MacOS 11.6 using Zoom client version 5.8.0 and I am able to bold my text in the Zoom chat without issue.

I will suggest removing the app then restart the computer then download from https://zoom.us/download to re-install it.
