I have my Zoom VDI Workplace V6.1.13 installed and I am upgrading the version from my tenant.... the channel on the tenant is set to the latest version 6.2.11.... The application sees that there is an update pending as the registry is pointing to the correct channel in the tenant....
When I reboot the Vmware VDI or close down Zoom in the system tray and re-open Zoom it should automatically update the version, but I am receiving the message:
The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation....
It's like the installer is no longer allowing a standard user to install the update, or the user has no rights to uninstall the current version...
Anyone have any ideas?
Any help greatly appreciated.

This is most likely due to system-level changes that require administrative privileges...Most likely your user account lacks the necessary permissions to install or uninstall software

Hi Harsh,
Thank you for your response.
I thought the same thing, but for my user base of 7K+ colleagues most of them do not have local admin.
How can I get the update from the tenant but then have it elevate the rights?
I thought zoom didnt require elevated rights to install, but it maybe the fact that it can not uninstall the current version.
Not sure what to do in this respect... trying to use the tenant to perform auto upgrades but it's causing a headache.
Thanks for your assistance in advance.
