Prevent Zoom Chat becoming the default IM

Good day all,

 

Can someone advise how we can configure Zoom Chat not to become the default IM.   We force HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IM Providers\DefaultIMApp to another app, but on a restart this is changed back to Zoom Chat. 

 

Currently we deploy the Outlook plug-in and the VDI client, are these related to this?

Totally agree this needs to be fixed or prompted to the user before changing a registry item that doesn't belong to Zoom.  No one I know uses Zoom as a default chat app.  Not even sure how one could do that.  I'm going to have to create a script that changes it back to Teams every day.
