Auto deleting messages on destkop zoom

Hello, im new to zoom. I'm trying to understand how to set up auto deleting of the messages in the channels on zoom. As i have done a test before with cloud storage retention - i believe its a bit different purpose cause it didnt work and the messages were not deleted from the channel. Can someone please help me out?

Try checking both your cloud and local storage retention policies.  The cloud defaults to 2 years of retention while local stores messages indefinitely if you don't set that for a shorter period.

but the messages will be deleted only from my side or in all the channels that im the owner of? that what is most important to me to know
