When you used your old Zoom account with Outlook, Zoom likely triggered your system’s default email client (Outlook) to open a new message with the meeting details. That worked because Outlook was set up for calendar and email handling on your device.
Now that you're using Gmail, Zoom will not automatically open Gmail or send an invite through it unless you connect your Gmail and Google Calendar to Zoom directly. Gmail is web-based, so unlike Outlook, it doesn’t automatically launch for message composition unless integrated.
To fix this and make Zoom send invitations through Gmail or automatically add meetings to your Google Calendar:
Sign in at zoom.us and go to Settings.
Navigate to Calendar and Contacts Integration.
Click Connect next to Google.
Follow the steps to authorize Zoom to access your Google account.
After this, Zoom will automatically create a Google Calendar event for each meeting you schedule, and Gmail will send invites to participants from your connected account.
If you don't enable this integration, you will need to copy the invitation manually and send it yourself.
