Zoom add-on in Google workspace calendar: not recognized as host

I manage my business's google workspace. I added the Zoom add-on to my calendar. It works fine except for when I open the zoom link in the calendar booking, zoom says that we are waiting for the host to start the meeting. How do I set it so it recognizes me as the host?
