I have been trying to find this answer for several days and I'm losing patience.
How can I set up a meeting schedule for only a month? Right now, the weekly schedule appears to be permanent and I do not want it set up that way.
Is there a way to eliminate months or specific dates within a month that I do not want to have meetings scheduled (I want to meet on that day of the week, but not on certain dates within the month due to other commitments)?

@DrVNJ - All of these settings should be available on the "Availability" tab when setting up the schedule. While the default is a schedule being valid forever, you can make it only available for a specific time period. Likewise, you can set up exceptions on a schedule for differences in availability.
