Refer to a PowerPoint by a "link" in a Template and subsequent Docs

Hey, everyone.

I provide a 20-30 minute individual Presenter Consult to speakers in my Events.  The Docs Template feature is great, allowing me to create a place to put a checklist of things to cover and take notes about each presenter.

I have a small PowerPoint deck I want to show each of the Presenters.  It's on my PC, but ideally I wish there was ONE place I could store it in Zoom Docs, and then REFER to that one copy in the Template, which then replicates into the individual documents that are generated from the Template (just the link - not the full PPTX file).  That way, when I'm getting started, I can just click the link in the Doc I'm working in, and the PowerPoint will launch.

Unfortunately, I don't see any way to do this.  Just making a File link to the external-to-Docs PowerPoint would be okay, but I can't find that either.  And I'd prefer to have it embedded somewhere (once) so my production team would also have access to it and the individual notes.

I appreciate any suggestions!

Hi @Ray_Harwood, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for bringing up this great use case! Currently "opening a local file" is not supported in Zoom Docs or other web-based services. But there may be another way to do it: you can make the PPTX a online version in One Drive. So you can open the online PPTX file via link in the doc.

Please let me know if it doesn't work.

Thanks!
