Another note - using Zoom within Chrome results in no screen sharing issues.

As a workaround, you can use OBS studio virtual camera support. Install OBS, launch, "Start Virtual Camera" (bottom right), then in advanced sharing options, use said virtual camera.

As a workaround, I'm able to use obs virtual camera to share my screen reliably. Really annoying, though. I don't have this issue with Slack huddle screen sharing or OBS.
