Video lags when screen sharing

Hi,My video and audio lag and freeze when I'm sharing a Powerpoint deck (Macbook). I also notice the laptop getting very hot. I need to put an ice pack under the laptop. Any ideas how to prevent overheating and lagging?Thanks!
