Play around with the settings and see if you can get the behavior your looking for. You can text yourself for testing purposes.

I'm not sure how it works on a Mac as I'm on a PC... You might try this...In my settings I can choose where my local recordings are saved to... check there. If they saved it to the cloud they'd want to check here... I hope that helps.

Maybe pick up some cheap switches to provide you with more ethernet connections? I, personally, never use wifi with anything remotely important.
