LOST RECORDED VIDEO FILE?? - CONF showed up in its place...

I had a video recording of an event I held today, and it was GREAT! But when I tried to rename it, a few minutes laterI went back to look at it, and the file was gone with only a CONF file (1 KB) in its place. WHAT HAPPENED? I need that file!!
