I am the owner of a company account with the highest price but didn't receive help within one day so asking here. We are about to start using team chat and I have ran some tests with it. However, for some reason and some settings my account is disabled from creating shared space both in the desktop app and on browser where as admins have this function. Obviously I can create a fake account, make me and admin and solve the problem with that but would be nice to get the feature back. Every setting seems to be OK and as I've used hours already to this starting to get really frustrated. Any ideas where is the problem?

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE for Zoom meetings(version 6.2.11.25892), and I am facing an issue with the chat box feature. Every time I open the chat box, it takes up the entire screen, which completely hides the speaker's video. As I attend classes daily on Zoom, being able to type in the chat while still viewing the speaker's screen, would be incredibly helpful.

Currently, I am unable to move the chat box to the right side or adjust its size, which creates unnecessary hassle.I already looked into common solutions, like finding an older version or anything in settings to change, buy nothing helped. If there is any way I could resolve this issue, please let me know. Additionally, if an older version of the app supports this feature, I would appreciate your guidance on how to access it.

Reply Chains Auto Expanding

I’m experiencing an issue with syncing out-of-meeting chat messages (what Zoom refers to as "Messages") across multiple devices. Each device seems to have its own isolated chat. For example, if I send or receive messages on my phone and later check my computer, the messages from my phone don’t appear on the computer. This is extremely inconvenient, as I have to remember which device I used to receive or send a particular message if I ever need to refer back to it.

 

Is this just how the Zoom chat system works, or is there an issue with my account?

Link Previews for posted links are not displaying in Team Chats

I cannot find an answer to this, but if I did miss a solution, kindly point me to it.

 

Since about mid August of 2024, Link Previews are not being displayed in Team Chats. When a video link is posted, the thumbnail and video title are not showing up. There has been no changes that I am aware of to the account settings.

 

I have tried turning on the 'Enable advance chat encryption" ... and then selecting "Enable Hyperlink Preview" when it appears and saving the change, it does encrypt the chats, but still no change in regards to the previews.

 

Is there a setting I am missing, or has something changed globally that I am not aware of?

Hi All,

 

I hope you all are doing well.

 

A couple of users in our account facing issues with Zoom team chat. When I try to send them a message I get the error "Message could not send".  
Also getting prompt "

Messages cannot be sent because <user's> chat has been restricted by their account admin.".
I checked the user setting and can confirm that the team chat license is "Enabled".

 

Appreciate the help.

Hello, everyone.  Thank you for your help with this.  Here is my issue. 

 

Until a few months ago, I used to be able to do file sharing from a file that was saved on my laptop -- I could put it up on the chat window by clicking the YOUR COMPUTER option, find the file that was saved in my laptop and then upload it onto the Chat Window for everyone to access it and download it. 

 

But I can't  seem to do that anymore.  Does anyone know what's going?  I have a MacBook Pro -- iOS Ventura (ie: above 13).  

 

FYI:  Yes. I tried EVERYTHING in the FAQ's -- including (among many things) going to Account Settings... and enabling File Sharing.  However, it was ALREADY turned on.  Either way, I turned it off.. then turned it back on... nothing.  So, after that... I even logged on and off ZOOM to see if that reset it... nothing.  Changed nothing. 

 

I even then went into the Chat options... checked every area where I could toggle file sharing... but, still not working. Everything I try does not work. When I click on the "YOUR COMPUTER" option in the chat window... it just stays greyed out... does not let me even click on it.  NOWHERE in the FAQ's does it answer how to fix this overall issue.  I have a PRO account, so it's not like I'm not paying for Zoom.  I am.  But even then, they say I don't qualify for live support.  This feels like they want to suck money out of you. 

 

Hoping someone here can help me figure this out.   Please.  I appreciate your help.  Thank you.

There is no chat option in the meetings of any other participants or co-hosts. I tried to change every setting I could find, but still: Chat messages that I send in meetings from my (pro) host-account do not show for other participants, and they simply don't have a chat button in their screen.
What setting can I try, to use the chat option again?

Sending of files via Chat

In my privat-Account I can´t send files, because the option in the menu is grey.
It saiz, the option should be closed by the administrator. But there is no administrator except myself
