We have our room controller iPads configured using Meraki MDM and kept the controller app open using the MDM-level single app mode. The downside to this is that the app cannot update until the app lock is disabled and the app itself is closed, and we want to automate this as much as possible. I have found and enabled the following settings in Zoom Admin:

  • Room Management > Zoom Rooms > Account Settings
    • Autonomous Single App Mode 
      • I also made a test profile in MDM that allows ASAM to function, and confirmed that it does work after making sure the MDM lock is inactive
    • Allow to update the apps directly from the room
  • Device Management > Device List > Account Settings
    • Automatically update app - Zoom Rooms

Last night I received a notification that one of the test profile iPads had rebooted, but when I checked it this morning the app version had not updated. Is there a setting I'm missing? Do the iPads need to be enrolled in ZDM for automatic updates/restarts to run, and if so is ZDM capable of running alongside MDM or would we have to convert the devices to only use ZDM? Support documentation doesn't cover Meraki, but based on what the steps for the other services are I would think that they'd be able to run jointly.

 

Additionally, under Device Management > Device List > Account Settings there's a setting for Weekly system restart, but the description references Zoom Phone Appliance - do room controllers fall under this as well?

Pop up does not appear on the screen

Hello,

The Zoom pop up doesn't appear when i switch on my screen. I need to turn on the "touchscreen functionality" every day to see it reappear.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

Hello, does anyone know of a way to reorganize Zoom video participants into various spots on the Zoom meeting, and do we have the ability to resize their video feeds?   

 

I'd like to have a background of a Star Fleet bridge, and arrainge the participants into their crew stations in the meetings and resize their video to fit that position..  Might be cool.

We have just deployed a meeting with blind control using a Global Cache IP2CC - added the JSON room profile to provide 'Blinds Up/Blinds Down' room controls, following the example for specifiying the IP2CC as the adapter. The JSON profile produces 'ON' & 'OFF' controls for blinds up and blinds down respectively, however the OFF button produces the contact closure while the ON button stops the blinds.

Is there any way I can reverse the ON/OFF buttons.

Can a Zoom Room Direct Guest Join Without Needing to Be Admitted Into Room?

I am setting up multiple Zoom rooms as a Teams calendar resource using Direct Guest Join.  

I may be overlooking this, but is there a way for a room to join the meeting without sitting in the waiting room first?

Can't Enable Apps Zoom Room Controller

Hi, I am working for a company requires to create an App for Zoom Room Controller.

 

It's simple: Create An Oauth App, Add app to Zoom Room Controller, Done.

 

And I followed these steps

Basically here it is:

  1. Log into Zoom Marketplace as an account administrator.
  2. Add the app to your account.
  3. Navigate to Room Management > Zoom Rooms.
  4. Select the locations to which you want to add the app, and select Settings > Zoom Room Controllers > Add Content.
  5. Under Add Content, click the Apps tab, and then select the app you want to add to the screen.
  6. Configure the content on the app's website, and save.

 

At step 4, I Couldn't find the "Settings" button to click. Also I looked around and couldn't find the "Zoom Room Controller > Add Content" anywhere ?

 

Can anyone at zoom explain or give a clearer instruction to go through? Thanks.

I have a large Zoom Room with three displays.
Display 1 is a touch screen at the instructor's podium.
Display 2 is a projector for content.
Display 3 is for seeing the gallery or active speaker.

It works great for almost everything.


When I start a whiteboard, it is only shown on the podium display and to participants. I can't figure out how to get it to show on Display 2. This means that no one in the room can see the whiteboard which makes it useless. There is no Content Only option under View.

How do I get this to work?

I've searched and searched to no avail. I have an old account upgrading to Zoom One this weekend, but instead I want to merge it into an enterprise account that I've gotten an invite to merge into. However, Zoom will not merge the account because it created a Zoom Rooms user that I cannot figure out how to delete. (I have no Zoom Rooms nor Zoom Room Devices create)

What can I do aside from waiting on a support ticket in order to get this user removed (without also losing my existing cloud recordings or getting charged overage fees)
