Hello, I think I have a pretty simple question but can't seem to sort it out. 

 

I'm one person that wants one direct dial number. 

 

I added Zoom Phone to my Zoom account and it looks like I have Zoom Phone Basic based on the questions I answered. I now have a "main number" and one extension. I don't really need this. I don't want anyone having to dial an extension to reach me nor do I need a generic main number. Also, I have no plans to add other people any time soon. 

 

My question is this:  What is the best/simplest/lowest cost way to get one direct dial number? Do I need to change my plan from Basic to something else or do I need to add a second line?

 

I appreciate any feedback!

Resolved! Latest Zoom update erased call and SMS history from Zoom phone

Me and a handful of colleagues updated to the latest zoom, Version: 5.14.2 (17213). We go into the phone section on the app and our history for both calling and text is gone.

Shared Line outgoing caller ID

When calling from the shared line to an outgoing number, the caller ID shows us as just the number rather than the name assigned to the Shared Line.  Is there a way to change the Shared Line outgoing caller ID to reflect a name rather than a number?

Hi, I have come across two users so far who show different time zones on their phone records than on their user records.

 

We are in Eastern time. Their records under User Management both show Eastern time. Their records under Phone System Management show Pacific time, and it is not editable. Is this setting made some where else?

Hi everyone,

 

I'm looking for a recommendation of physical phone (on the ZTP list) capable of Zoom Video calls. We do have Zoom phone system and usually use one of the low end Poly models that work fine with voice but I want a higher end phone which possibly can do Zoom video - obviously the thing would come with decent size LCD and a camera?

 

Example - Yealink VP59 device but it's unclear as to exactly whether it can do what I want.

Hi. Has anyone experienced not being to connect when doing outbound calls? Some calls that we make says that the call cannot be completed and try again later. However, when we call other numbers, it was able to connect. Can anyone help us with this issue? The zoom support has been very slow in resolving and answering the ticket.

Resolved! Zoom assistant - phone widget is not popping up for our power pack user

Hello,

 

We have 3 Zoom power pack users, but one of them does not have the widget for Zoom assistant when they log in to their Zoom app. I checked that the toggle is on and running the latest version (5.14.0)

Hey Zoom team,

 

I was trying to set up our new zoom phone system since we got all our numbers ported today but when adding the auto-assistant I thought I needed to change the number but when I removed the number from the Auto-assistant it completely deleted our newly ported main phone number for our business. I contacted support to see what could be done but after an hour they sent me an email to a place to open a ticket to recover the number and I'm not even sure if I filled out the ticket correctly. We cannot receive phone calls to our business and I'm wondering how long it may be before we get our number back in our account or what the chances of getting our number back at all?

 

Honestly, it is a horrible UX design to be able to delete a phone number entirely from the account through the auto-assistant section. Why wouldn't the number just go back in to unassigned?

I'm attempting to provision an Audiocodes 445hd desk phone. Automatic provisioning didn't occur after resetting the phone so I went through the manual steps to provision.

 

On the final step of the manual provisioning guide it says:

 

 

Configure provisioning server:

1. In the web interface, go to Management > Automatic Update > Automatic Provisioning.

2. In the Provisioning Method drop-down menu, select Static URL.

3. In the Configuration URL field, enter Provisioning URL in above of this dialogue.

4. Click Check Now. When web interface says "Configuration file is available. Do you want to update?", select OK.

5. Web interface should show "Automatic Configure success. System is going to reboot ...". Your phone will reboot to complete configuration.

 

On completion of step 4 instead of step 5 occurring the phone says:

 

Configuration file 00908F99C2B1.cfg is identical to existing

 

and does not reboot the phone. Rebooting the phone myself makes no change and the phone is shown to be 'offline'. 

 

I know that the phone is communicating with zoom because in the account section of the menu it lists the name the phone is assigned to. Yet I haven't been able to get it online.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
