My ability to join meetings via Zoom has suddenly been disabled as I can no longer install updates due to the appointment of an unknown administrator. I am told to 'Contact admin to update' so I have to join via browser. Is this a problem  know to others? How do I solve? I am a 'basic' user

Hello,

If you pay for your own Zoom account then you are the "unknown" IT administrator.  You need to update your Zoom client.

I have the 'basic ' zoom which is free. Thanks anyway

I am having the same issue, but I am on a paid plan. I downloaded the installer.exe but when it opens, I get the same message so I am unable to install since I can't access my profile.

Hi again,

You should still be able to do the update. If all else fails just delete Zoom from your computer, reboot and download it and install it again.

Tried it - doesn't work.

Thanks again

Thanks, Frank. The update still didn't work, but I removed the Zoom app from my computer, rebooted, and installed it. Everything is working fine now.

I appreciate your input.
