Using a webcam with a Macbook Pro

I have a paid account and use Zoom for regular meetings. I use a Macbook Pro with an external monitor and I bought a Logitech webcam to sit on the monitor to use instead of the MBP built in webcam.

I launch the meeting and the Logitech is selected automatically, but then after a few minutes, the webcam will shutdown and I get a message saying that the default camera/mic  has switched to the MBP webcam/mic. Video goes blank, audio goes dead.

I reselect the webcam, few minutes later, same thing happens.

I don't want to use the MBP with the lid open, I want to use the external monitor.

The Zoom app will randomly decide it doesn't want to use the wecam, then because the laptop lid is closed, it will switch off video entirely.

The other strange thing the app does, if I have my iPhone near, I can select the iPhone camera and mic, but the app will stay on the iPhone and never switch off or try to switch to the MBP.

I'm using Zoom across two macbooks and the virtual background i used on my old mac is not appearing on my new one. I tried finding the picture in my local library but nothing is coming up when I use the "Go to Folder" search.

 

Is there any other way to locate the image and transfer it to my other computer?

Resolved! Zoom Desktop app crashes

I'm having an issue that when I share my screen, participants' screens automatically go full screen and they can see the videos on the side, but they can also see my view of the participants that are still on my screen. On every other device I use, participants cannot see the video boxes of themselves on my desktop and it's very distracting for them. I log into the account on my wifes laptop and there is no issue when I'm on hers, so I don't think it's a zoom setting since the settings are the same when logged in. We both have macbook air laptops, except mine is newer. Could this be a system setting?

I had an unwanted noise for the first time in my zoom class that I could not identify.  Was very annoying.  Could not determine where it was coming from.  But, following the zoom meeting, I received an email that someone had joined my meeting without permission.  Didn't know who it was.  Never saw a person on the zoom.  Didn't recognize the name.  How can I prevent this person from disturbing our class again?  Thank you

Can't select Live Stream

Hi
I've upgraded to the Pro plan, and although I am showing as a licensed user, and have modified the Account Management to allow Live Streaming - I cannot see the option when I go to Edit a Meeting.

Even after hitting save - it does not appear.
