Hi,

I have a brand new Aspire 3 15 from Costco.

Audio works everywhere except Zoom.

I have spent two days trying to fix this. When I hit the, "Test Speaker," button sound works for 1 second after starting the program and then does not again though the blue bar lights up to show that sound is being produced. When I first had the computer it would work through the speakers but not the headphones. When I tried to  fix that I lost all sound in zoom.

I have googled the problem and followed the steps on the zoom audio problems page and done everything including deleting my cookies and reinstalling the drivers. Costco Tech Support identified this as a Third Party problem. It is not my computer.

I am ready to return the computer to get a new one.

Thanks I hope this can be solved.

I'm the Zoom account admin and my username got locked apparently the credentials got compromised at least as what message I got from zoom. Now for last 6 months, I am trying to reset my password but I never recieve the password reset link from zoom. I'm at my wits end and to add salt to my injury, i was charge USD300+ for one year for facility I cannot use.

I tried to reach support to no luck. I will be easier to reach to President of the United States but not to zoom support. They keep asking me for my personal meeting ID and host key which I input and they keep telling me its not correct. Shame of you Zoom that a human person cannot reach me as your customer.

You should probably close down you business if you cannot interact and resolve a very basic customer issue, password reset.

For the last few months, when my students (located in different countries and on different devices) try to use the annotation tool, it only works sometimes. Other times they tell me that it won't work or allow them to use the tool. It goes on and off at times within the same class, sometimes works fine, and other times not at all for meeting participants. I never have trouble with it as the host. I double checked my settings and everything is enabled, so I'm not sure why this happens.

Has anyone else run into this or have ideas for troubleshooting?

When I am host for a meeting, everything works fine when I start the meeting.  However, as participants enter the meeting, my Zoom controls freeze for several minutes.  Most of the time they just unfreeze on their own, but other times I need to leave and re-enter the meeting.  This freeze can happen even if someone enters the waiting room.

  • I always check to make sure my Zoom is up to date
    • I cannot always confirm whether all participants have their Zoom up to date
  • This happens whether I am using a free account or paid account
  • I run Windows 11 and it is up to date
  • I use a virtual camera with OBS
  • I have two monitors and I extend the desktop
  • I use the dual monitors feature in Zoom
  • This happens whether I am using a headset or computer speakers
  • Processor:  AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
  • 16 GB RAM
  • Internet speed is not an issue

Hello. A school I work with has an Issue with their Acer Chromeboxes where during meetings after initially joining computer audio it will say "Your browser is preventing access to your microphone." However I have gone in and turned on microphone allowed on in chrome settings and the issue still occurs. I have updated the devices to the newest version and have even factory reset on to troubleshoot with no success. These Chromeboxes are plugged into TV's with a webcam so there is no microphone to begin with. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. This is on the browser version of Zoom since there is no desktop version for chrome.

Hi, I have a Zoom One Pro account. I would like to set up two general links for use at any time. From the forum, I already know that I need to do this through 'recurring meetings.' But I wonder if such links will not block my ability to use the account for other meetings? If I set up two such general links, and if the meetings happen at the same time, will they not block each other? How many meetings can occur simultaneously?

Thank you for your help,

Wera

Hello, I am desperate looking for settings where I can change the design of Clips recordings. I want to record my shared screen (powerpoint slides) and have the video of me talking on top of the presentation - not beside the presentation slides! Is it the only way to record in Clips - having your video beside the presentation? Problem is that the presentation will then get too small for the students to watch? I think that I somewhere could chose how the video/webcam of me would appear on the screen, but I have looked everywhere, cant find any settings. Please help! I need urgent help with this. Thanks.

I'm having a (new??) issue specifically with the mobile version of Chrome browser and Zoom's Shared Screen. When playing a video on the mobile Chrome Browser while Sharing Screen, the other meeting participants cannot hear the video sound. Yes, Share Audio is selected on the tablet.

  • I was able to replicate the problem on mobile Chrome apps on both a Galaxy S6 Lite tablet and Galaxy A725G phone
  • It seems to only be the mobile version of Chrome - not the desktop Chrome.
  • I'm unsure if it's a new problem - but I'm sure I've used Chrome during Share Screen before w/o issue. So I'm going to say it's new.
  • I have made sure to click the "share audio" button that shows up when Sharing Screen from a mobile device.

About my Set-up:
I usually have my Surface Pro computer with Windows 11 as the main host in meetings and cast video/audio to a  TV.   I join meetings with my tablet as a co-host and use it ONLY to share screen to play videos and do whiteboards during the meeting.

When watching videos played during the meeting, I watch my computer or TV so that I see and hear the video as my students do. I am teaching things that require split second timing. There is a 1-3 second delay in the video for participants as it goes through Zoom and to their computers/devices. By watching the video on a second device, I see it exactly at the same timing as my students.

I often use a cut-off headphone jack on my tablet during meetings to avoid microphone/speaker feedback between the two devices & the TV.  This is easier than remembering the specific settings on the various devices to avoid it. Pulling out the headphone jack however did not correct the issue described above. And does not cause a problem when Sharing videos via mobile Firefox.

Troubleshooting Process I have taken:
  1. Tablet has sound when:
    1. Playing videos via VLC, MediaMonkey, etc.
    2. Watching a Google Classroom or YouTube video on mobile Chrome and Firefox.

  2. When the tablet is connected to Zoom (but not sharing screen)
    1. Watching a Google Classroom or YouTube video on mobile Chrome --> tablet has sound.

  3. When the tablet is connected to Zoom and Sharing Screen
    1. A video played with VLC or Media Monkey --> tablet has sound and sound is heard by participants.
    2.  A Classroom or YouTube Video played on mobile Chrome --> tablet has sound, but not heard by participants (yes, "Share Audio" is ON)
    3. A Classroom or YouTube Video played on mobile Firefox --> tablet has sound and sound is heard by participants.

Other troubleshooting steps I've taken:

  1. I attempted to uninstall & reinstall the Chrome browser on my tablet and deleted the cache. There was no change.

  2. I replicated the same problem with mobile Chrome when Sharing Screen on my phone.

  3. When I try to reverse the process, and use my computer to Share Screen, and watch a Classroom or YouTube video on the desktop version of Chrome -- the participants CAN hear sound. So it seems to only be the mobile version of Chrome.
