I have an urgent problem. I have already raised this, but I absolutely need this solved. Windows forced us to switch to Windows 11. The very day I did that, sound started cutting out in Zoom (can't hear anything at all). I know it is Windows 11 because the problem corresponds exactly with the moment I switched.

 

This is a professional risk for me that I cannot afford. I am an interpreter and use Zoom (client's preference) almost on a daily basis. This sound cutting out happens every single time. And again I know it was Windows 11 because I used Zoom just as frequently before making the switch, so it was immediately noticeable.

 

This is absolutely unacceptable, and the problem needs to be remedied NOW. Especially since it is Microsoft who is forcing everyone to switch to Windows 11; I was not hyper enthusiastic about it myself since Windows 10 works perfectly fine, but Microsoft said it is ceasing support for all previous versions of Windows including Windows 10 starting next month. Again, UNACCEPTABLE. Need a fix NOW.

 

Posting this on a Zoom forum, too, just to keep Zoom in the loop.

I am both a leader and a participant in zoom meetings.  I am using a laptop computer for zooming.  In either roll my screen shows only a gray background with a little locked symbol.  I've tried to follow all of the suggested solutions with no luck.  I am able to participate with audio, but no video.  Please!  Can someone tell me what to do to unlock my video?  Thank you so much!!  🙂

Resolved! Can't copy chat text

In some meetings that I host I cannot copy the contents of the chat. For example to copy someone's email address that they share in the chat. Is there a setting I'm missing? This used to just work and now it has stopped. Now the only option on my rig... Show more

In some meetings that I host I cannot copy the contents of the chat. For example to copy someone's email address that they share in the chat.

 

Is there a setting I'm missing? This used to just work and now it has stopped. Now the only option on my right-click menu is "Select All". (Using Windows 10)

Meetings set up in Mighty Networks not showing in Zoom account

We've integrated Zoom into our Mighty Networks account. The interface allows me to set up meetings (even recurring ones) directly from Mighty and post them inside the private group. This I did. However, my Zoom work account does not show the meeting ... Show more

We've integrated Zoom into our Mighty Networks account. The interface allows me to set up meetings (even recurring ones) directly from Mighty and post them inside the private group. 

This I did. 

However, my Zoom work account does not show the meeting as scheduled. It says I have nothing scheduled.

Using the latest version of both zoom and mighty on Chrome. 

The meetings are created. We have had attendees each week. 

They just do not show in the Zoom account. 

I've already checked with Mighty Networks. their answer was to contact Zoom.

I recently responded to an automatic update for zoom workplace for windows 10, to 6.4.12


Since that update, when I start screen sharing the session immediately pauses.
"Your screen sharing is paused" and "[x] Stop"
Pressing play and it blips, then goes right back to paused.
I've tried changing host and sharing settings, allowing everyone to share, etc.  No dice.

I have a large meeting that needs to have the waiting room feature turned off at a certain point to let many attendees in.  I am unable to get this to work during an active meeting without ending the meeting and restarting after the settings have been updated. 

 

I have found this statement in some automated zoom documentation:

"Yes, you can update the waiting room feature during a meeting. As the meeting host, you have the ability to enable or disable the waiting room feature while the meeting is in progress. You can also customize the waiting room title, logo, and description at an account, group, or user level. To update the waiting room feature during a meeting, you can access the waiting room settings and make the necessary changes based on your preferences."

Has anyone made this work?

 

I am aware there are settings for the waiting room in both Profile and Admin. Both of these are turned off in my current testing, but my meeting has been set to have a waiting room for the scheduled meeting. 

In the Zoom workplace dashboard it is possible to update the settings and save them, but this does not work in my case. It only works if I end the meeting and start it again which will not work for my current use case.

Hello!

Have a large meeting between several organizations. Would like to add ALTERNATIVE HOSTS for folks outside my company. When trying to do so, get a message they can't be found.


Example
Me = Company A

Desired Alternative Host = Company B
*Currently unable to add anyone unless they are Company A

 

Is there any way to assign Alternative Hosts in this case?

Zoom only allowing users to see a month's worth of meetings at a time

We have just logged into Zoom and noticed that we can no longer see all of our scheduled meetings at once. Instead, we have to enter a date range and only a month at a time can be selected. This is really unhelpful as we schedule numerous meetings months in advance and can often not remember the exact date so being able to scroll through all of our meetings is useful. Making us have to search through our meetings a month at a time takes what used to be  a two minute task and turned it into one that can take ages, and also because this "new feature" is not widely known, we are getting bombarded with other users panicking because they think their meetings have been lost.

 

Is there any way to turn this terrible feature off and go back to being able to see all of our meetings?

I am streaming live tours using the Android app, video streaming always in landscape mode.  When I see a message in chat and press the Chat button, it goes to portrait. I can't turn the phone around as this will spin what the viewers are watching in landscape. How do I get the chat to appear in landscape mode?
And is there a way to view chat in the main meeting screen alongside the video image as in the desktop app?
