Hi all,

We are having a real problem with Zoom in the last few months. We are a church and we conduct online meetings. Typically, there will be a main speaker who leads the worship or prayers and everyone joins. So, we would normally spotlight the main speaker and ask others to unmute and join in the worship and prayer time.

What we have noticed in the last few meetings is that, when others unmute and start singing or speaking, the main speaker (speaker who was spotlighted) audio completely cuts off. When the other person stops speaking, then only we can hear the main speaker voice.

Is there a change that has happened recently that is causing this issue? We desperately need this fixed. Else, we might have to move out to smoother meeting software as it is so important to us.

Any help would be of great help!

Thank you

I need to allow up to 8 participants.

Since at least one of these meetings needs to go for 1hr or more, it's clear I can't use the 'Basic' plan. So, I assume I can use the 'Pro' plan. However, I just wanted to confirm this is correct?

The only reason for my confusion is the Plans page lists the price in terms of $ per year / per user. Am I correct in assuming that's just talking about the $ cost for the account holder, and not for each meeting attendee?

This is not for business or govt purposes, so if we each had to pay for a 'Pro' plan in order to meet then Zoom wouldn't be the product/service for us.

Thank you.

Hello,

I am using a MacBook Pro Apple M1 running macOS Sonoma 14.3.1

I am using the correct version of Zoom for Silicone Version: 5.17.5 (29101)

During a meeting everything is fine until I open the chat or participants box and then my zoom freezes and I have to force quit. Once I open it again, it works fine and I can open the chat and participants.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom.

I have also contacted Apple Support who said they do not think the problem is their end, they think it's Zoom. However they got me to reinstall Sonoma just in case but the problem persists.

It only happens with Zoom and has been ongoing for a good few months now.

Greetings Zoom Community. I have a home based business and a big presentation coming up. As many as 100 participants. My internet speed is 325mb down and 100mb up, using ethernet. I am just trying to get a baseline on how I can use zoom with large meetings. Open to all suggestions, lower def video, more sessions, less people. It will be a meeting not a webinar. If someone could provide a basic rule of thumb (participants/bandwidth/video settings) that would be great Because it will be so many people, I cant do any real testing.

For the past month, my zoom has been kicking me out randomly. I use a Lenovo laptop (about 4 years old), Chrome and my desktop app is up to date. If I minimize my client and navigate to a different screen, look something up or just minimize them to look at the tab I currently have open, about 90% of the time, our screens will freeze and it will kick me out when I enlarge their picture again. It takes about 30 seconds, but it puts me back in the meeting and a banner shows up that says I am the host again. If this happens more than 2x in one session, it it will kick me out completely and I have to restart my meeting. This also happened when I was sitting in a training, not touching my computer, but it did the same thing each time the host navigated between sharing her screen and back. So disruptive to my clients (mental health therapy). Please help. I have sent in to help tickets with no response.

I have an iMac with an i7 Intel chip, 64 GB of RAM, and OS Ventura (13.6.5). For the past couple of months I've been having what appears to be a memory issue when running Zoom. Zoom becomes only partially responsive and everything else I'm running slows down significantly. I have to either close everything else that's running or leave the meeting and come back. I've done a hardware check and the RAM and chip are fine. Internet connection is fine.

I also have a MacBook Pro (M1 Pro chip, 32 GB RAM), OS Sonoma 14.3.1 and am not having any issues with Zoom.

I think the issue with the iMac might be the OS – has anyone else had a problem like this? If you have, is there a fix other than shutting everything else down? Thanks!

Hey!
Not sure where to post this, sorry if it's in the wrong place.

Im trying to uninstall Zoom(32bit) with no success, on my Windows PC.
Was installed 2022.
I cant find the 32bit version to try and reinstall and then uninstall it (if that might work).
Tried with 64bits, with no success.

I get this error message when I try and uninstall: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."

Can anyone help?

Have a nice weekend.
