Auto record setting is off. However zoom is recording each meeting and this is clogging our cloud storage.
Hi, When starting a call, I hear others for about two seconds and then the sound disappears.
I have removed Zoom and reinstalled it but the problem remains.
The set up of the speakers appears to be okay, otherwise I wouldn't hear the first coulple of seconds, isnt it?
How can I solve this?

Dear Zoom, 2. How does Zoon associates a registration link with a person since at the point of joining the meeting one does not need to state the name again?
I'm organising a big meeting and I am receiving a few questions from the attendees that I'd like to be able to respond to:
1. When registering to the meeting do they receive a personalised link?

I am getting sound distortion through my Dell laptop when using Zoom. This doesn't happen with any other video conferencing products or other audio through the speakers. I have tried uninstalling zoom and installing it again but no different. When I test the speaker in audio settings, it starts to distort after the first 2 or 3 rings. The native speakers selected in settings are Cirrus Logic High Definition Audio. Any help, much appreciated. Thanks

I have 2 open requests, about serious issues with screen sharing that keeps bugging, I have a very important training to teach this weekend where I will need to screen share, and Zoom is not replying! What is going on??? I am paying you to have support! Considering closing my account and moving to one of your competitor. This is not as Zoom used to be.Recurring issues with screen sharing. It started a few months ago, wasn't happening before.Running Zoom client app on Mac Book Air, OS 11.6.7 Sent 2 support requests about 5 days ago but still no reply, which is surprising and infuriating (all support requests I sent in the past were reply in 2 days max). 1) First issue:I need to share videos that are on Youtube and Vimeo.I've noticed that when I share from Safari browser, the moment I go full screen for the video, the sharing is automatically paused. On my screen I see "sharing paused", and on the recording it is just blank. 2) Second issue:When I share the YouTube or vimeo videos from Chrome, it works, but there are grey rectangles that appears for the viewers (I don't see them on my screen but the viewers see them and they appear on the recording). Those rectangles seems to be the Zoom menu bar. And when they start appearing once in a meeting, the keep appearing all the time when I share my screen, even if it is not a video. I'm using Zoom version 5.7.5 (939), on laptop with AMD Ryzen 3 4300U chipset.
Everytime I share audio from my laptop, both audio sharing only or from presentation, participants will hear cracked sound (buzzy noise). The shared audio sound quality is very bad.
I did uninstall, restart, then reinstall, yet the problem is still persist.
I also have the problem of participants VDO may freeze from time to time as well.
I never have these problems on the previous update.
How should I fix these problem?

Hello, I have seen the new option of ZOOM with automatically translated captions in different languages "translated captions". I bought this option and activated it in the advanced settings (image 1). However when I start a meeting this option does not start and I just have the option to put the subtitles in the spoken language without translation (image 2). Does anyone know if I have forgotten to activate anything? I can't find anything on google to help me. Thank you for your help! Nadine

HI, When I share a PPT (from Microsoft) in Zoom, everything works perfectly: I can hear and see my students, my students can hear me, and we can all see the PPT. However, when I want to play a video or audio that is embedded in the PPT, they cannot hear anything, although I can hear perfectly on my computer. This has only just started happening; everything was working perfectly before. I'm not aware that I have changed any settings. Is it possible that an update has altered settings, or have I unintentionally changed any settings? I'm running Windows 11. Thanks for any suggestions.

Zoom was working perfectly with Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS until most recent update January 23, 2024. Now Zoom will not open and appears to affect OS such that Chromium is affected and the mouse fails to work. The only way to 'unfreeze' is to restart. Is anyone else having this problem?
