I often host Zoom meetings with attendees where the attendees are not tech-savvy at all. They can click and join a Zoom link but that's about it. Sometimes the attendees's microphone options are not set right (too low, for example). With the attendees permission/approval, I want to be able to adjust their Zoom microphone options.

I have tried using the "Support --> Request desktop control" of that person's computer (with their permission/approval). When they have given approval for me to do Desktop Support, the Desktop of their computer appears, but I can't access the Zoom client itself. I tried clicking on the Zoom client at the bottom of the screen but it does not bring up the Zoom client itself.

anyone know if this is even possible, to be able to access the Zoom client to modify the microphone setting (increasing input level), even while the Zoom meeting is running?

I set up a meeting with recording option set to cloud storage (with automatic recording). I signed in and opened a meeting. After approx. 30 minutes, I transferred host duties to the participant who was chairing the meeting, remained in the meeting. There's no recording of the meeting in cloud storage and none rendered locally. The meeting went for about 1+ hours. Can you please let me know who has a copy/access of the recording?

Registration zoom meetings

Hello Zoom community, we have a zoom meeting for which we reached 100 participants. Many still want to register so we upgraded our account to 500 participants. Does anyone know how to reopen a Zoom meeting for the registration to continue?

Hi all,

Just wanted to know if I could make a user a host automatically when they joined a meeting? As of now I understand they need to be the owner of the account to become hosts when they login from that account or the existing host in the room need to make them host or co-host. Without these two ways, is there a way that someone could automatically be made a host by the owner when they join the meeting?

Hello,

I share Apple Keynote presentations via Zoom. I am running the latest Mac OS and the latest version of Zoom.

The images inside Keynote are all high-resolution and look pin-sharp on my MacBook all the time I'm sharing. But they come out blurry on the other end when I share a Portion of Screen on Zoom.

This happens every time. No matter how many people are in the Zoom (from one person to hundreds).

This is NOT a problem with the internet or WiFi connection. Because I have tested it on super-fast networks and even with computers sitting side by side on the same desk.

I have spoken to an Apple specialist and they cannot find a problem on the Apple end. So the problem must be with Zoom.

I have noticed that when I share my full MacBook screen in Basic mode on Zoom, the images come through to the audience in crisp resolution.

But as soon as I move to sharing only a Portion of Screen (in Advanced mode), the resolution falls off and everything blurs and pixelates a little.

I want to run Keynote in Presenter Mode so that the audience only sees a portion of the screen  (ie. current slide) and only I can see the next slide and notes.

But as soon as I move from Basic Mode (full-screen share) to Advanced mode (sharing only portion of screen) the images all go lower resolution and a bit blurry.

Which is weird. Because you'd think that sharing a smaller part of the screen would make the resolution even better!

Still, the problem clear lies in moving from sharing my entire screen to sharing just a portion.....

Any ideas how to fix this? Is there a setting I can tweak? Or is loss of image quality inevitable when sharing a portion of my screen through Zoom?

Thanks!

Carl

We have people attending  the meeting in person and on Zoom. With one computer in the room people on Zoom could not hear discussion from people attending the meeting very well. We got an external speaker to try to alieve the problem but it didn't work well (don't know if it was the speaker or just not enough power??). Maybe there is a speaker recommended for hybrid meetings?  people may be 6 to 10 feet way from the computer. Next time we brought 2 other computers to the meeting and signed onto the zoom meeting hoping that would help with sound issues. We then got feedback and echo when the volume was on which was very annoying.  Ideas and solutions would be very helpful. We want the hybrid meetings to continue.

Hi.  I get the message above  when I select to join from my browser.  The audio in and out works fine when I use the check computer audio feature with Zoom.  I tried Zoom in an actual meeting, a while back, but, the microphone didn't work.  I have Windows 10.  The microphone is set to default in the Recording section of Sounds, in the panel under the speaker icon.  I tried Chrome, and, then, Firefox, browsers.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

For the last couple of years, I've had no trouble using an Amazon Fire Tablet for Zoom in connection with Meetup, but for the last 3 meetings or so I can't join our meetings at all, despite using the latest version of both Zoom and FireOS. My other device is a second generation iPhone SE, I can always join using THAT but both the battery life and screen size are tiny. Now what happens is kind of interesting, the tablet goes into the waiting room OK, and the host is able to put me into the meeting AS FAR AS the other members are concerned...and in fact I can see the "other" instance of myself if I'm also joining over the iPhone copy of the Zoom app, but I DON'T ever actually join with the tablet instance (from what I can see on the tablet), the tablet gets stuck I think with the message "connecting" but it never actually does connect that the tablet can see! Please note this IS the Amazon version of Zoom NOT the Android one, I wouldn't expect that to work! I'm thinking that something was recently changed because as I said I never used to have this problem, can you just track down the changes that were made that were likely only to affect the Fire tablet? I think this is a reasonably thorough bug report, I would certainly expect this bug to be reproducible from my description, thank you!

Hello, I frequently run video training seminars via zoom. I typically use two computers - my primary computer to see participants / work on other things and my second computer to play the video and share screen/sound. I’m trying to figure out how I can share my training videos from my second computer, and have muted audio from that computer while participants are still able to hear what I’m sharing. Currently, when I turn down or mute my 2nd computer audio it turns down or mutes audio for my participants. I want to have the audio turned down on my end but still have it loud for my participants so I can focus on other work while they watch the training videos.
