Admin logging on overrides the host

I am the regular host of Zoom meetings. Last meeting the account owner/admin logged on. This appeared to immediately remove my host access,  as suddenly I lost my tools and my video or audio options, and the toolbar on the shared screen vanished. I could not recover them.

I had to end the meeting for all and start the meeting again. Everything was then okay. Has anyone experienced this? 

If an admin or account owner logs on, can this override the host of that meeting?

Is there a personal setting an admin/account owner needs to make before joining a meeting to prevent this?

I would appreciate any thoughts or help anyone can give me.

Is the live transcription related data, e.g. audio signal for transcription, stored or "flowing through" zoom's server?

Or is it all done in the local client's side?

Australian based Zoom instance

State government schools in my area typically cannot connect to my Zoom meetings because they advise Zoom is not authorised on their network.  The Chief Information Security Officer for the government advised that, "The department supports meetings hosted externally to the department, however, the host must be Australian-based and using the Australia Zoom cluster services, as a paid Zoom customer."

I am an Australian user paying for the Zoom service, however I'm unsure what is meant by "using the Australia Zoom cluster services".  What does that mean? How do I know if I'm using that service or not?

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a specific recurrent meeting with a different setting for screen sharing from default setting of my account.

Is this possible?

I would like by default to allow only host to share screen. This is setting is set in my account meeting configuration. But in a concrete recurrent meeting, I want to allow that any user can share the screen, even If I am not inside the meeting to change this setting.

As far as I see, this is not possible, but maybe I'm missing some way to do it.

I’m trying to figure out why suddenly last week, out of the blue and randomly colorful balloons and one time confetti filled my screen. This has been very off-putting because it’s happening in the middle of my business meetings with clients. I have checked all settings and haven’t changed any that could seem relevant. I need to disable this function but don’t see how to especially since I don’t understand what’s causing it. Any advice?

This doesn't happen every time, but it has happened 3 or 4 times where I start a meeting as the Host and the couple comes in and we are in different 'rooms'. I have only sent them one link for our scheduled meeting so they can join me.

I called the couple by phone, and they said it showed that I was involved in another meeting.... WHAT???? I am in their meeting.  So I exited the meeting and then went to their link (the one I emailed them) and entered the meeting that way.  This has happened in the past but not for a year or more.  Is this a program glitch?  I talked to a friend who uses zoom for her business as well and she has had the same experience.  I feel baffled by this.

I hold regular Zoom meetings and record them. I've checked the settings and the recordings are set to Full HD (1080P). I have a very good wired internet connection but on occasion have noticed the recording drops back in quality to 720P and was wondering if this happens because one of the other participants has a poor internet connection?

Any Mac OSX beyond 10.10.5 literally bricks my computer and, I need to know if the latest update to zoom will still be compatible before I click install.  Since 2020 updates to various programs have brought them to the point where they cannot be used "This program will not operate on 10.10.5" and, the idea of clicking "Update and install" on any given program now causes anxiety, with the possibility that I won't be able to WORK. Please tell me if it will still be compatible.
