I have some sleep earbuds, the Soundcore Sleep A10 earbuds which have excellent battery life.  I was hoping to use them for Zoom calls.  They are audio only and come without a microphone.  All other Mac apps work with them just fine, but that is not the case for Zoom.  Best guess is that Zoom is using the bluetooth profile for headsets instead of speakers, since the listing for my Soundcore Sleep A10 earbuds shows up in the listing for Microphone choices as well as Speaker options.  Unfortunately, no sound will route to them no matter what I do.

Any way to convince Zoom that they should use a speaker-based bluetooth profile/protocol for these instead of the headset profile/protocol?    (I use the laptop's built in microphone or a lapel microphone for the voice piece)

I added a secondary "portable" camera in order to get a more desirable viewing angle myself and participants on zoom calls. Although zoom recognized the new camera once on a zoom call,  it continues to default to the camera installed in the computer.   How can I make the new camera the default camera?  Settings does not seem to provide for this.

I recently bought myself a new computer, and what I've noticed is that my zoom video is laggy. I have a really good computer that can handle a lot.:16 ram, lots of storage, and my WIFI is very good too. When I enter a zoom for class or make a small one for 3 people my lag is always 5 seconds behind. I am also up to date with any updates zoom has. Does anyone have a suggestion?

It's not a bandwidth or client-side issue. I have 100/100 FiOS internet access and all the clients are up to date (5.17.7 on Windows 10 Pro). The proof is I am able to record active speaker view in HD (720p) on an Education account. I also get the same issue when recording from two separate machines.

I have configured the web account following instructions on https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0066166#h_e10b8e22-b0d6-4434-ba68-5982d68f2260:

  • Account setting
In "Account Management"/"Account Settings"/"Meeting" tab/"In Meeting (Advanced)", the "Meeting-HD Video Quality" toggle is ON and locked
  • User setting
"Settings"/"Meeting" tab/"In Meeting (Advanced)", the "Meeting-HD Video Quality" toggle is ON (but since it was set and locked by admin, it shows as ON but greyed out)

Thanks for your help!

But, the mp4 freezes about 70 minutes in and all audio + video stop.

Can I attempt to re-convert these files? How?

What are my options to attempt to get a proper download/conversion of these files? This was a HUGE meeting. I absolutely need this.

We had no internet issues, I was hard wired in to ethernet. No error notifications.

I can't convert the recording of a meeting (saved to my computer) because my zoom is stuck on the error message "failed to convert recording--there is another recording conversion in progress, please convert later." I tried from both my zoom Meetings>Recorded>Convert and also from my documents file. I tried restarting my computer several times. I tried leaving it overnight. Still stuck.

Hi,

I am not familiar with Zoom. I have a question. If Zoom user A invited Zoom user B as a co-host for a webinar in my organization, (both of them have webinar license), where will user B find the webinar? by the way, user B received the invite in email. I assume user B can find it under Meetings in her Zoom app or web portal, but it is not there. Where did it go?

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

Trying to push out the latest version of Zoom (6.1.11) to my MacBooks at work.  I am getting an error that the "application is not supported on this Mac".

I have both Intel & ARM Macs and have tried both.  I've never had an issue before, so I'm stumped.  I am running Sonoma 14.6.1.

Thank you

Zoom Workplace Pro Account.

Somehow I must have changes some settings when trying to adjust some others. Previously when we had a a Zoom presenter doing a presentation to our club, I would assign them as a host/co-host and ask them if we could record their presentation. Now the record button is not anywhere to be seen. I looked through the settings for recordings and tried a few changes but that just caused recordings to automatically start when I started a meeting. We need the recording button back and to have "recordings" to be on a meeting by meeting basis after getting permission to do so.

We are a photography club that holds monthly club meetings. Most of the time, we engage (pay) an outside speaker that we connect to via our Zoom Pro account. We project them (as a co-host) and their presentation onto a screen at our meeting hall. And the presenter (via our webcam) can view our club members who are attending the meeting at the hall.

NOW, we want to also invite some of our club members, who cannot attend our hall meetings, to view the monthly presentations over Zoom at home.

BUT, we want to limit the viewable “Gallery” to just the Presenter, the Hall Attendees, and perhaps one or two other club members.

How do we do this?
