I have used Zoom for years and still to this day when a meeting is completed... the message box of "Converting meeting recording" comes on my screen and is on top of all other windows and I cannot get it off until it is done converting. It is in the way and effecting my other work. I have requested this feature to be fixed before... How can I get this fixed right away?

Resolved! Spotlighting yourself during a recording but also being able to view attendees during a yoga class

I want to record a yoga class and only spotlight myself on the recording so there is no problem with data protection issue. However I need to view everyone on the screen during the live class so I can correct their posture if required and for health ... Show more

I want to record a yoga class and only spotlight myself on the recording so there is no problem with data protection issue.  However I need to view everyone on the screen during the live class so I can correct their posture if required and for health and safety reasons.

Currently if I pin myself that only records myself which is what I want. However it makes the other people on the zoom show as very small boxes at the top of the screen and I cannot see them properly. 

Any suggestions to solve this are welcome

20% of the time I'm on a Zoom call the voice of other people in the call is garbled. I am the only person who has this problem on the call. When I use transcription apps such as Otter.ai it also cannot pick up the voice and is not able to transcribe properly when this occurs. Other times it works fine. My upload and download speeds are extremely high, so why is this happening? I'm on the latest version of Zoom using an android laptop.

Webcam not displaying video - Mac OS 14.1.1 Sonoma

Hi,

 

I have an M1 MacStudio with an Apple Thunderbolt Display which has a built in webcam (known as FaceTimeHD Camera).

 

When running MacOS Monterey, the video feed from this camera worked. Since 'upgrading' to MacOS Sonoma 14.1.1 the Zoom preferences recognises the camera it is connected to, the computer displays the icon in the menu bar that the camera is in use, but no video preview appears in the Zoom preferences - the window is black.

 

I checked to see if this was just a bug with the preview in preferences, by starting a meeting. No video displayed, although I did get a message from the Zoom app that said 'Virtual Background is still loading. Start video anyway?' (The buttons offered the option of 'Don't use video' and 'Use video'. No video displayed after clicking 'Use video' and waiting several minutes. I then disabled virtual background in the preferences and tried again, but still had no video displayed in system preferences or in a meeting that I started.

 

Is this a known bug with Zoom version 5.16.10? If not, please can Zoom investigate and can other users let me know in the replies if this affects them too.

Resolved! Saving subtitles to recordings once they are downloaded

I have worked out how to save the auto transcript in recordings as subtitles, and I can see them in the recording (when viewed in Zoom). However, when I download those recordings the subtitles no longer show up - anyone know how to get the subtitles ... Show more

I have worked out how to save the auto transcript in recordings as subtitles, and I can see them in the recording (when viewed in Zoom). 
However, when I download those recordings the subtitles no longer show up - anyone know how to get the subtitles to save to the downloaded recordings?

According to everything I have seen when I want to schedule a meeting I can start typing the first 3 or more letters in the name/email of the contact in the attendees field and a list should pop up of names that match. Is there an option I need to turn on to make that happen?

My Zoom Desktop Client (on Windows) updated to one that has consolidated the Calendar and Meetings tabs (or so it says, feels more like it -lost- the Meetings tab) and now I can't really access cloud recordings from my desktop client. Or I just can't find them. Is there a way to go back to the old UI? Having to log into my Zoom account on my browser when I have a desktop client open just to get a cloud meeting's URL is a really bad experience.
