I cannot seem to find the appropriate Zoom app to install on my Chromebook laptop. I NEED Zoom on this device for an upcoming business trip. I understand there is a special app for Chrome OS, but it doesn't allow me to install it on my device, it says the device is unavailable. Please help! My trip is in one week 😞

Zoom not detecting microphone and speaker depsite no other app having this issue.

My zoom on my laptop never detects my microphone or speaker. Whenver I manually make it test it, it works, but if I go back to the meeting, it doesn't work again. How can I fix this? I've tried reinstalling zoom already.

I work for a university and edit many zoom recordings to put on YouTube as evergreen tutorials. Most of the recordings I get show the thumbnail of the speaker covering up the top right corner of the slide.  When I signed in to the desktop client I don't see how to make side by side the default. I know participants can do this. I want to show my colleagues how to set that up so that the recording they make doesn't show the thumbnail over the slide. My normal procedure is to show the speaker for a few minutes, then trim to the slide in Final Cut Pro and not have the speaker show. I occasionally will zoom out so future viewers will see who is talking. When Webinars are created and recorded, the side-by-side seems to be the default, but in regular Meetings, most of the recordings sent to me have the speaker thumbnail covering as mentioned. I don't see where a host can change that setting in my desktop client.

This is concerning an iOS device. 

 

I have a PA in my org that creates a lot of meetings for others. However they constantly get Zoom notifications (ringtone) that the meeting is starting. Was there a way to specifically mute this notification but allow all others from Zoom? They still want to get a sound from when they are being called/chatted to. 

 

GOAL: Mute "Meeting is starting now" notification while still keeping all others active. 

Issue: No way to granularly shut off notification types.

I've been hosting Zoom meetings since 2020, and never had this problem.  After scheduling recurring meetings, when I click on "Meetings," it shows me only four occurrences, even though I've scheduled 13.  In the little ? prompt next to the range, it says "To see more, extend the meeting date range" or something similar.  However, nowhere on Zoom's website does it say how to do that.  So, to summarize:

Problem 1: This is new - just started after I've been scheduling meetings for four years.

Problem 2: Tells me what, but not how, to extend the number shown.

Can anyone help?

Hi, I started a recurring meeting (weekly) with registration of the participants the first time they join. So far so good. Everyone registered and got an e-mail with the JOIN-button.

But for the next meeting, I want to send them an e-mail with the direct link, in case they cannot find the first e-mail or do not know it's the same button. So I was looking for the url to the meeting, but I can only find the link to the registration... 

Where do I find the link to invite someone who is already registered? Or is there something I miss about the way the registration works?

Microphone not working after updating desktop app

Recently updated Zoom Desktop App (windows 10) and now Zoom will not recognize any microphone. Have tried 3 different microphones and none are recognizedin the app. However, if joining from the web on the PC there are no issues. Ran the clean uninsta... Show more

Recently updated Zoom Desktop App  (windows 10) and now Zoom will not recognize any microphone.  Have tried 3 different microphones and none are recognizedin the app.  However, if joining from the web on the PC there are no issues.  Ran the clean uninstall and reinstalled, but it still does not work.

No issues with microphone when using other applications such as Microsoft Teams, and Zoom Web version.  Reached out to our Zoom Account rep and have not heard back, so any suggestions, insight, is greatly appreciated.

Getting the following error when attempting to update flatpak zoom since approx 15th Sep 2024.

 

Aborted due to failure (While downloading https://cdn.zoom.us/prod/6.2.3.2056/zoom_x86_64.tar.xz: While fetching https://cdn.zoom.us/prod/6.2.3.2056/zoom_x86_64.tar.xz: [35] SSL connect error)

 

Based in Switzerland. VPN'ing elsewhere and attempting to open the URL also dead.

Can the zoom CSV file key in phone number and organization other than email address , first name and last name? Because whenever I entered my Meeting ID and Passcode, it brings me to a registration page that prompts me to enter my First Name, Last Name , Email Address, phone number and organization. I would like to prevent that page from popping out everytime I try to enter a meeting
