The piss poor customer support offered by Zoom notwithstanding, I would like to find a solution as to why a movie I show during a meeting (class) is not showing for students.  All they is a black screen.

 

I connect to the platform hosting the movie through a link sent to me by Social Dilemma. I have used the link to show this movie probably 20 times with no real issues. When I tried to show it recently, all student could see was a black screen and the closed captions. They could also hear the dialogue, but only a black screen was showing for them. 

 

Suggestions appreciated.

I have been using a private room to host 1:1 meetings. In one of the meetings the client let me know that a hand in a circle with line going around that changes color like something is loading shows up in the lower middle of her screen. (this is not a raised hand, as we experimented with that, but she said its a different icon and different position) It seems to happen 10 minutes before the end of our meetings, I have not had any other clients let me know this is occurring. I tried researching this but can't find an answer. Does anyone know what this might be.

Hi,

I have been in 3 different zoom meetings now and when the presenter shares their screen, all I see is a white box. I cannot actually see their screen. Has anyone else run into this and know of a solution? It's only happened the past few times. I never had any issues before with seeing other people's screens when they were sharing.

Good day. I need help with the Outlook plug-in for sending meetings to our customers. Before update 6.3.5, any time I created a meeting in Zoom, I was able to send the link via outlook , and the calendar reflected that meeting.

After version 6.3.5 is not working and it is very annoying to create meeting, copy, paste the link and then go to outlook to send the invitation

Any help deeply appreciated

First time poster, so I hope I've posted this in the correct forum. I've been going round and round with YouTube on this  problem, so I'm hoping maybe someone here might shed some light on this issue. For some time I've been trying to livestream to my brand YouTube channel, but as you can see from the screenshot below, I get a message that I'm not authorized to do it.  I have checked the options in my Zoom account authorizing my account to stream to Facebook and YouTube.  I then checked to make sure that I've verified my account with YouTube; as you can see from the screenshot, I have.  Weirdly I CAN stream through my personal YouTube account, just not through the brand channel.  Has anyone else had this issue?  Any thoughts?  Thanks in advance for  your help.

In the "Zoom International Dial-in Numbers" page:

In both columns for "international Number" and "Tollfree Number"

the Philippines shows a green check mark with no telephone number.

What does the green check mark mean?

I recorded an important seminar last night using the Zoom DesktoP APP (Version: 6.3.5) on my laptop. The seminar ran through the night, so I set Zoom to record so I could review it in the morning. I ensured the following before leaving Zoom running:

  • The default recording folder was correctly set.
  • My laptop’s sleep settings were turned off.
  • The Zoom app showed the recording status (red dot) at the top of the screen throughout the session.

This morning, I discovered that no recording file was created or saved. I have taken the following steps to locate or recover the recording:

  1. Searched my laptop for temporary files, including .zoom and __zoom__, but found nothing.
  2. Checked the default Zoom recording folder, which is empty.
  3. Opened the Zoom Desktop App and checked under Recordings, but the session is not listed.
  4. Logged into the Zoom Web Portal and looked under Recordings, but nothing appears there either.
  5. Used a file recovery tool (Recuva) to scan my laptop, but no Zoom files were recovered.

The recording was vital, and I am unsure what went wrong since the recording indicator was active throughout the meeting. Is there any way to recover the file or determine why it wasn’t saved?

As in the title Zoom is unstable and does not allow me to share (just times out at other end) my screen on my NBN Fibre 250mb connection. However when I am in failover mode on my 4G sim mobile connection at 30mb it works fine. 

I have tried several different solutions but not really knowing what I am doing. Any help much appreciated.
