I've been using Zoom meetings for almost 3 years without problems.  Recently I have begun hosting regular meetings with a new group of clients. In each of our 3 meetings I have lost my connection to the internet (though the router light suggests that the internet is still on). This may be a coincidence (I'm considering a dedicated access point),  but it has only ever happened with this group. Is there a possible explanation?

Suddenly, people can no longer unmute themselves in a meeting.  (It's SO aggravating and unprofessional when Zoom autocratically changes settings without even warning, so we get in a meeting and it's not working as expected! 🤨)

I found this answer but the setting option doesn't exist...

"This setting (Automatically mute all participants when they join the meeting) will disable all participants’ audio when they first join the meeting, i.e. they will be able to unmute themselves after joining.

"Afterwards, the host or co-host can mute all participants that are already in the meeting, as well as new participants joining the meeting.

  1. Click Participants
     located in the meeting controls.

  2. Click Mute All to mute all current and new participants.

  3. (Optional) Check Allow participants to unmute themselves if you would like participants to be able to unmute at any time during the meeting."

I can't find  Participants tab in the first place, but i do see this...

"Mute all participants when they join a meeting

Automatically mute all participants when they join the meeting. The host controls whether participants can unmute themselves."

But there's no setting anywhere i can find that says...

"Allow participants to unmute themselves"

Help!

Scheduling priviledges and different time zones

Hi all,

I wonder if you could help me.

If I have to set up a Zoom meeting using the scheduling privileges for another person who is in another time zone. Do I use their time zone when scheduling or should I use my time zone?

Thanks

Hi.  I use Zoom for group meetings, and before Camo I would join the meeting with my laptop & my iphone separately to leverage the iphone camera.  Since moving to Camo, 1 out of 4 of my attendees can only see a slice of the left side of my screen.  Not compressed to the left, just the left; let's say about 2" of my total view.  If I switch back to my 2join method, everyone can see me fine.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Thank you!

There are plenty of devices in my home network - tablets, laptops, smartphones - all of them are able to connect to zoom without a problem. As expected.

But I have one device, and old iMac, that can't connect to zoom.us. The issue is with the zoom app, and with every browser I'm trying. The browser shows a timeout error.
I've tried to look of there's a firewall, a faulty hosts file on the computer, or even an issue with the router, but couldn't find anything.

I've tried uninstalling the zoom app, using the uninstall procedure, but that didn't help either.

I can't find any similar issues online.

I'm kinda lost for solutions here.

Can someone help me please?

I use Zoom to record interviews, and have set my settings so that when I open a meeting, the record function turns on automatically.  Recently however I have been finding that often doesn't happen, and when I try to turn on "Record" Zoom replies that I have to request permission from the host.  That makes no sense, as I am the host of the meeting.  How do I resolve this so that I can turn on "Record"?
