If you spotlight multiple people, will they all be on the screen the whole time or only when each of them speak?

I have an issue with the keyboard when screensharing. When I share my screen the other person can draw using the pencil but can't type text, it's as if their keyboard is locked (it even makes that sound) whereas I can annotate just fine. However the keyboard isn't really locked, they can use it to navigate between slides on a powerpoint for example.
The reverse is true : when the other person share their screen I'm unable to type text but can drap on it. The keyboard works in the chat and when using the whiteboard, I only get this issue when screen sharing.
Has anyone elle ever had this problem? I'm using Windows on my computer.

Sorry if already covered but I wish I had the option to click a button to put all clients back in the waiting room if needed to mirror the option already there to bring everyone in at once. Everytime I see a Zoom update I look for this as a new addition but nothing so far, have I missed this? Many thanks in advance for help.

I have had an issue for several months that I am unable to resolve with any random helpdesk. My video on laptop was working automatically in meetings that I hosted. That suddenly stopped working and I only have the gray screen with the 'x' in the video. If I host a meeting on my phone it works fine. If I join a meeting someone else is hosting it works fine. I have checked ALL of the settings recommended while on the laptop and there are no settings that should turn the video off. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my laptop multiple times with no resolve. The video works fine in other apps and again when I host on my phone it works fine. I am not sure what else to try or where else to get assistance. If I can't host a meeting and use my video on the laptop I will have to choose another type of meeting application. This is extremely frustrating to pay for something that I can't use fully. Any ideas?

When i'm screen sharing both me and the other person cant view the video thats playing all we can see is a black screen. How can we resolve this issue
When sharing screen during meeting, powerpoint slide presentation works fine; however, the recording of the session does not show certain slide transitions; many transitions come out choppy or none at all - the next slide just appears.
