We have a log that one of our users had traffic 7GB in one Zoom meeting of two hours. Is that ok? We are worried about it because the user said to that he didn't send any files or share screen in the meeting, so we are trying to understand why this huge traffic.

Last week, I upgraded to Fedora-35.  Less than 1 hour ago, I removed and then re-installed zoom.  In Firefox-98.0.2, I tried the zoom test meeting.  A pop-up appears saying that zoom quit unexpectedly; then the pop-up disappears.  Afterwards, I see in the Fedora problem reporting tool that kernel core reported an unexpected system error.  Reason: traps: Chrome_IOThread[3915] trap invalid opcode ip:7fe5788c65a5 sp:7fe555ff92e0 error:0 in libcef.so[7fe57589f000+8451000].

What's the problem; how do I fix it?

Latest zoom update for Linux is crashing on startup on Fedora 35. The culprit seems to be related to electron builder. There is some ABI conflict with glibc 2.34 (known fact for other 3rd party apps too). Apparently, there has been a fix for this in electron some time ago. It is also related to the graphics driver used. It works fine on Intel HD but crashes with the NVIDIA propriety drivers. The previous version of zoom worked one but I cannot find a way to downgrade on Linux. Adding option --disable-seccomp-filter-sandbox makes it work. Please inform the developers.

Hello, two of my friends are using Zoom on a Chromebook. They both are getting this error message when logging into our meeting: "zoom client must be upgraded to join this meeting".  (See attached picture.)

We checked and their Zoom client, Chrome browser, and Chromebook are all up to date. The zoom client is version 5.0.1 for chrome os.

Is there a there a reason why they're both getting this error message? It started after everyone received the latest mandatory update, but the chromebook os didn't get this update.  Do they have to wait for an update?

I have a new computer. I downloaded zoom Version: 5.9.3 (3169). When I'm in a zoom meeting, my violin is not audible. When I test the mic outside of zoom, it registers the violin. It's just in the zoom meeting where it doesn't work.

On my other laptop, I have an older zoom client (Version 5.9.1 (2581)) and my teacher can hear my violin just fine.

Sound settings on both:

- Unchecked Automatically adjust microphone volume.

- Checked Show in meeting option to enable sound.

- Checked High fidelity music mode.

- Unchecked Echo cancellation.

- Checked Stereo audio

It seems like it's a glitch with the update. Anyone have ideas?

Changing settings

Hi, I programmed a meeting about a week ago. I decided to change the settings for my meetings but I don't know if these new settings will apply to my previously programmed meeting. Can anyone comment on this issue?

It sends this email:

Hi ----,
We detected an unusual sign-in from a device or location you don't usually use. If this was you, enter the code below to sign in to Zoom.

It's annoying because we share accounts with teachers and they don't all have access to the email address to read the code. What can we do?

My synagogue often uses live captions for services but have noticed a problem recently where the hebrew word "nigun" meaning tune or melody is transcribed as a slur. There isn't much of a way around this that we can tell other than turning off the captions when hebrew is spoken, but this is a synagogue so that inevitably means missing a significant amount of information. Is there a way to prevent a certain word from being used by the captions? Are there other live-transcription AI's where a word can be removed from the AI's vocabulary, or added in, manually?

I would like to be able to use the feed from my webcam through the software Youcam9 rather than the "real" or native feed, as Youcam9 allows greater flexibility (for example allowing me to zoom-in on my face or something else). However Zoom seems to allow me only the native feed from my webcam. Am I missing something? I've been all through Settings and don't find a solution.
