I am regularly hosting zoom meetings where I share an audio played from a website on chrome. 

Last time suddenly my sound was barely hearable to the participants and myself. I checked all sound options on zoom and on my laptop's system settings, without any result. (I checked whether "share sound" was on, tried mono and stereo quality, and zoom has all permissions on my laptop). In a new test meeting, after logging out and creating a new meeting just for myself, it worked fine. 

I have never had this problem before. I urgently need a solution as I rely on this function weekly. 

I have got a Macbook Air 15.3.2 and Zoom workplace 6.4.6. 

I have not changed any settings since the last time it worked fine. The only thing I recently did was clearing cache in Chrome.

As the problem does not occur every time I don't understand it and need a solution. During the meeting I am hosting there is no option to quit the meeting and enter it again, as the participants rely on the host being available throughout (it would throw all out). 

 

I am afraid to reinstall zoom and chrome as I don't want to mess up any further now. 

 

Thanks for your help, I am quite desperate.

Camera not working in "Video Mode" or on Zoom Meetings, but works in "background and effects Mode

When I go to the Settings screen and hit Video, I get a blank screen. It says it is hooked up to my camera. Then when I go the "Backgrounds and Effects" The camera works fine.  It will not work at all in an actual zoom meeting.  The audio works fine.  The camera works on other apps. I have set and rest the permissions.  I have reset the camera, reloaded the camera app, Restarted the computer, updated and reloaded the Zoom app.  How can the camera work on the Backgrounds mode and not on the Video mode?  I am baffled.

viewing shared screen

When the host shares a screen, I can't see it. I get a prompt to "click on tab" to view it. I cannot find a tab

Errorcode: 10001 - Update can not be installed

Hi, I use a new macbookpro with M3 Pro apple chip.
Zoom Version: 5.15.7 (21404)
When I try to install the Zoom update, above error code stops the installation.
Anyone any idea?

I'm an audio engineer using Zoom-meeting recorded audio files regularly. My client sends me their files, I edit them. They used to always be mono files. Then sometime around October of 2024, the files started being stereo. It would help me if they were mono. But I can't find an option in settings to record mono vs. stereo. If I found a way to make them mono like previously, I'd inform my client.
Any help?

Resolved! What changed? Why does my video NOT start automatically now?

All of a sudden (beginning Monday) without my having done anything in my Zoom settings, I find that when I join a Zoom meeting - as I do every day for work - I have to manually click on the "Start Video" button at the bottom left of my desktop screen... Show more

All of a sudden (beginning Monday) without my having done anything in my Zoom settings, I find that when I join a Zoom meeting - as I do every day for work - I have to manually click on the "Start Video" button at the bottom left of my desktop screen (See attached screen cap 1). My video used to start automatically when I joined a meeting... now it doesn't. WHY? WHAT HAPPENED? How do I make my video being ON the default state when I join a meeting?

 

(See attached screen caps 2, 3a, 3b) Note that I do not have a check in the box on the Video tab of settings that says "Turn off my video when joining a meeting." That option is NOT selected.

 

So, why is my video not ON when I join a meeting? This is extremely frustrating.

I have the newest zoom update (5.11.0), and I really need to switch to dark mode because light mode is very straining to the eyes, especially with a huge iMac screen close to my face. however, the "dark" option is not available. in fact, the "theme" category is nowhere to be found in my settings on general in zoom.  where can I enable dark mode here in this?

I use macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. pls, I need a quick answer to this, or i'll probably go blind after some time.

Auto close browser tab upon meeting launch

There used to be an option to automatically close the browser tab that is automatically launched when joining a Zoom meeting after a few seconds. Now, the tab just stays open indefinitely and you have to close it manually, which is extremely annoying... Show more

There used to be an option to automatically close the browser tab  that is automatically launched when joining a Zoom meeting after a few seconds. Now, the tab just stays open indefinitely and you have to close it manually, which is extremely annoying when spending a full day in back to back meetings. I haven't been able to find any settings to turn the auto-close back on - is this still an option?
