Hi All,

I have a deployment with the following characteristics:

  • VMware Horizon 2206
  • VDI Desktops running Windows 10 v22H2
  • HP t640 Thin Clients running HP ThinPro 8 and Horizon Client for Linux 2212
  • Zoom VDI v5.13
  • Zoom VDI plugin for VMware for ThinPro v5.13.0

We have deployed various redirection\optimization technologies -- for Zoom, Teams, HTML5 video, etc. The redirection\optimization works as expected.

 

The issue I'm facing is related to audio volume levels. Typically our users have their Thin Client volume set to 100%, then they will adjust volume down within the VDI Guest OS to appropriate levels. However during Zoom Meetings or Calls, when the audio is redirected to the Thin Client, it exits the speakers at 100% regardless of the Guest OS settings.

 

Except for MS Teams -- for whatever reason Teams does not suffer from the issue.

 

I'm aware of the root cause here -- however I'm trying to avoid solutions like telling\teaching my users to adjust volume within ThinPro, or purchasing speakers\headsets with volume dials...

 

Instead, I'm wondering if anyone has a solution here which would allow for the audio volume levels to be adjusted within the Zoom client or the VDI Guest OS, instead of being offloaded down and adjusted on the Thin Client, during meetings or calls? Any assistance or guidance on this issue would be appreciated.

Can't send messages in chat.

Yesterday I joined a meeting (android) and typed a message in chat answering one. And it was sent. Then I returned to the meeting closing chat box. After opening the chat box again, I couldn't find my message I had send. But others and hosts messages... Show more

Yesterday I joined a meeting (android) and typed a message in chat answering one. And it was sent. Then I returned to the meeting closing chat box. After opening the chat box again, I couldn't find my message I had send. But others and hosts messages were visible and others was keep asking for my reply. And I sent it again. My messages are not visible in chat after I close chat box. 😞

Can't share a web browser

I am not able to share my screen when showing a browser.  I can show a document or a PowerPoint but not a browser.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks, ***********

Problems with Live Zoom Meetings Freezing

During my live Zoom meetings, it freezes and repeats the motion over and over.  I use Zoom to teach live fitness classes, and this keeps happening.  I have to stop the video and come back.  I teach far away from the computer and have to stop the class and come back.    It has happened since updating Zoom's latest version this year (2023).

 

What should I do?

Resolved! Licences users

We have some licenced users that keep getting popup that they are a basic users and can not hold meetings longer than 40 minuttes . Can you please advise ?

Video Minimised to Taskbar

Help! We have an issue where on one of our Windows 10 PCs. The Zoom video call is minimised down (its tiny) and its stuck to the taskbar. It cant be maximised or restored and there are no options when we float over it to try and bring it back to full... Show more

Help! We have an issue where on one of our Windows 10 PCs. The Zoom video call is minimised down (its tiny) and its stuck to the taskbar. It cant be maximised or restored and there are no options when we float over it to try and bring it back to full screen. The call can be seen when you hover over it but its tiny and the audio / video doesnt work. This happens if you host a meeting or join one.

For some reason I don't see an option to add a reaction/emoji for comments in the chat (not for the speaker).  How do I add this?

Meeting on calendar is missing on upcoming list

I scheduled a non-recurring meeting and it seems to be appearing on everyone's calendar but not on the "upcoming" list on my zoom account. Every other meeting I have scheduled for 2023 is on the list so I don't know why this one meeting for next week... Show more

I scheduled a non-recurring meeting and it seems to be appearing on everyone's calendar but not on the "upcoming" list on my zoom account. Every other meeting I have scheduled for 2023 is on the list so I don't know why this one meeting for next week is not. So how do I tell if the meeting is going to work or not??
