I am having this issue with audio mix for the interpreter. Some of ours interpreters wont hear the original audio under the selected translation channel form another interpreter.

 

Is there any possibility to "mute original audio" as is in the participant panel?

Or an option to contorol the mix (ducker) which interpreter can hear?

This is a quite URGENT request. The meeting is on course.

the interpreter is not recognized and I can't start the language interpretation.

The email address is correct and the interpreter joined the meeting.

Hey, people are logged in into their basic account. I invite them as interpreter, they receive a link with url...... double clicking does not result into them entering as interpreter

Zoom timer on Chromebook?

I have been trying to enable and utilize the timer app on a chromebook. I have installed the timer, tried to enable zoom apps, and went through a bunch of different methods and can not seem to access timer or any apps in zoom on chromebook. Am I miss... Show more

I have been trying to enable  and utilize the timer app on a chromebook. I have installed the timer, tried to enable zoom apps, and went through a bunch of different methods and can not seem to access timer or any apps in zoom on chromebook. Am I missing something or has anyone been able to find any work arounds to make this work?

Zoom - Schedule Meeting in Outlook does not start properly

I am trying to set up a meeting in Outlook from the calendar page. After I click on Schedule a meeting, the Zoom - Schedule Meeting window opens with the choice of Meeting ID, security, video and audio settings and then the default is to click save. ... Show more

I am trying to set up a meeting in Outlook from the calendar page.   After I click on Schedule a meeting, the Zoom - Schedule Meeting window opens with the choice of Meeting ID, security, video and audio settings and then the default is to click save.   Usually that works fine up until that point.

 

Now when I hit save, a new window opens saying to enter a start time and duration for your event so that the end time is later than the current time.  All that I can do is click OK.

 

Then it becomes a blank meeting scheduler as if Zoom is not working.   None of the Zoom info populates.

 

How do I fix this?  I am on the Pro Plan.  Windows 11.  All the latest versions installed.

I respectfully propose the implementation of a feature within Zoom that allows the host to set "Original Sound for Musicians" to be permanently enabled by default for both the host and all meeting participants, with no need for toggling during each meeting. This should be in the initial setup and emailed as part of the link to our client so that they never have to hunt for or have to change to the "original sound" for this setting.

Current Issue:
Despite enabling “Original Sound for Musicians” in account settings, users must still manually activate it in every single meeting. For music instructors like myself—who teach dozens of students, many of whom are children or elderly—this creates significant inefficiencies:

- Valuable lesson time is lost teaching clients how to locate and enable the setting.
- The option is inconsistently placed across devices and updates, causing confusion.
- This directly impacts the quality of instruction, retention of students, and my business.

Why This Matters:
Original sound is not a convenience—it is essential to hearing musical nuance. Without it, Zoom compresses and distorts tone, dynamics, and articulations, rendering music instruction ineffective.

This feature’s current implementation disproportionately burdens:
- Children, who often cannot follow technical steps.
- Elderly clients, who may struggle with toggling advanced settings.
- Teachers, who lose 5–15 minutes of lesson time per session navigating technical setup instead of teaching.

Proposed Solution:
Please create an advanced host setting or meeting template option that allows:
- “Original Sound for Musicians” to be locked on by default for the host.
- The host to pre-enable this setting for all participants when scheduling or launching a meeting.
- Optional: The ability to apply this globally across recurring meetings or the user’s Zoom account.

Business Impact:
I have used Zoom for several years and have been a paying customer throughout. However, this unresolved issue is now impacting my ability to retain clients. I am currently researching alternative platforms that allow more consistent control of audio settings tailored to musicians.  I do not wish to leave Zoom, but unless this functionality is improved, I may have no choice and I am not alone.

Final Note:
This request reflects a growing concern among the music education and performance communities using Zoom. Please prioritize this feature to support the professionals who depend on Zoom for their livelihood.

ich habe auf meinem MacBook seit einiger Zeit ein Problem mit Zoom:
Ein virtueller Hintergrund ist dauerhaft aktiv – auch wenn Zoom selbst anzeigt, dass kein Hintergrund ausgewählt ist.
Ich habe bereits alle typischen Lösungen ausprobiert:

 

  • Zoom vollständig deinstalliert und alle zugehörigen Dateien aus ~/Library gelöscht
  • macOS-Kameraeffekte (Portrait, Studio Light etc.) überprüft und deaktiviert
  • In Zoom keine Avatare, Filter oder Studioeffekte aktiv
  • Neues Benutzerkonto auf dem Mac getestet → Problem bleibt
  • Zoom frisch installiert, ohne Login → kein Problem
  • Sobald ich mich anmelde (selbst mit neuem Konto): der Hintergrund ist wieder da

 

Es scheint, als ob Zoom auf meinem Gerät dauerhaft einen Kamera-Effekt aktiviert hat, der sich weder lokal noch im Konto zurücksetzen lässt – und nicht sichtbar ist.
Ich nutze macOS Sonoma, FaceTime HD-Kamera. Andere Programme (QuickTime, FaceTime etc.) zeigen den Kamera-Feed korrekt, ohne Hintergrund.
Bitte um Hilfe, wie man alle versteckten Kameraeffekte / Hintergrunddaten löschen oder Zoom vollständig zurücksetzen kann, sodass wieder das normale Kamerabild verwendet wird.

Yesterday I installed Zoom meeting client on a new ASUS Vivobook computer and joined my first meeting. About midway through (after about 20 minutes) little smileys (thumbs-up, baloon, etc.) started coming up the screen in a vertical line from lower right up to a third of the screen. One smiley group would come, then after perhaps a minute another. I left the meeting and the smileys kept coming. I rebooted the computer and uninstalled Zoom client, not sure yet whether the smileys have stopped. It looks to me like a virus (unless a part of your client?). Please advise what to do.
