Come on ZOOM, you've done a nice job of providing customization in session with apps for backgrounds and such, but really your meeting invite template is rather drab and boring. Is there a way to upload a custom meeting invite template, perhaps created like the backgrounds in canva or similar.

The current options are very limiting and impersonal.

For each invite I sent out I have to spend 2/3 minutes to edit. It contains information my clients don't want or need and it would be great if the invite background could be changed to something with an image and most of the time I only need the zoom link and not ALLLLLLLLLLL the other stuff.

Is there a place to make feature suggestions?

Let participants *individually* adjust heard volume of Shared Computer Sound (or of others' voices)

Hi

*Background:*

I participate in Zoom Meetings where someone else - the host - teaches a movement class where they play background music (via Share Computer Sound) and at the same time they speak verbal instructions via their microphone (call it 'microphone audio'). I find it difficult/impossible/stressful to hear spoken words amidst some kinds of background music (auditory processing disorder). So, often I need to reduce the volume of the *Shared* audio (music) - but keep the 'microphone audio' louder - so that the 'microphone audio' (spoken words) is more clearly 'foreground' (much louder than background music), so that I can understand the words. But, I can't do this - on my side, I can only adjust total volume, of shared music and microphone audio combined. The person sharing computer sound could adjust volume of the audio they share, relative to their mic volume, by adjusting volume in the app they're sharing music from and/or their mic level - but that would *not* help because other people in the class have different needs than me (they often want the background music louder, whereas I want it quieter, relative to the microphone audio).

*Need:*

In a Meeting where someone else is Sharing Computer Sound, I need for each participant to be able to make their own individual adjustment to the *ratio* of the volume of Shared Computer Sound to the volume of sound from others' microphones. This would be a key accessibility feature to allow those of us with Auditory Processing Disorder to participate in meetings that use Shared Computer Sound (such as music) while also having someone speak at the same time - which is a large 'use case' (huge numbers of online classes - yoga and many other kinds of movement classes, etc.) So this is a key need for many people who teach such classes using Pro Zoom accounts - this feature is needed for them to make their classes accessible to people with Auditory Processing Disorder (as well as being needed by those of us who try to participate in such classes).

*Request:*

To meet the above need, I see two options:

A) Add an in-Meeting volume control (ideally under the audio menu that pops up by clicking at top of microphone button) for Shared Computer Audio Volume, which lets the participant adjust this *relative* to the volume coming from other participants' microphones - for themselves, not affecting anyone else in the Meeting. This could be a slider that -

 * defaults to 100% (= the relative volume of the Shared Computer Audio as set by the person sharing it, which is how it currently always is);

 * and ranges down to 0% (which would mean that participant wouldn't hear the Shared Computer Audio at all but would still hear microphone audio; or an intermediate level of e.g. 50% would make the Shared Computer Audio half as loud relative to microphone audio; again, this would only affect sound as heard by the participant making the adjustment);

 * and ranges up to say 200% (which would mean that participant would hear the Shared Computer Audio twice as loud, relative to microphone audio) - I would never use this >100% option but I know others who have the opposite needs from me would, the people who ask the teacher to 'turn up the music' because they can hear the teacher's words but not the music.

OR

B) Implement the granular audio control (in Meetings) that's in the Zoom web SDK (https://developers.zoom.us/docs/video-sdk/web/audio-advanced/) so that I can adjust the volume of the speaker's audio (as I hear it) while also adjusting my overall speaker volume; as long as adjusting the speaker's audio only changes the volume I hear from their mic (and not from Shared Computer Sound also coming from their computer) - and as long as I'm able to *increase* someone else's mic volume as I hear it (not just decrease it) - then this will achieve about the same thing as option A. It wouldn't be my preferred solution (because if multiple people talk while audio is shared, I'd need to adjust relative volume for each of them), but it would work! Note that this option is similar to this prior request -

https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Meetings/How-can-I-boost-reduce-volume-for-specific-participants/m-p/9302

*Bonus request:*

I'd also love it if an equivalent feature could appear in recordings - if the shared audio could be in a separate track from the microphone audios, and one could adjust the volume of the shared audio relative to the microphone audio during playback via the web player for cloud recordings. (I know one can record separate audio files for each person so I imagine one could import all those files into a video editing suite and independently adjust levels of each audio source, but that's not accessible to most people.)

Thanks, Peter

I am new to Zoom Workplace Pro. I initially set recordings to be saved locally. I now need to change to save to the cloud. However, when I go to Settings (through the Zoom web portal)

  1. Account Management then Account Settings.
  2. Click the Recording & Transcript tab.
  3. Click the Automatic recording toggle to enable or disable it.

And try to toggle off "record to computer file," I get the following error:

Disable "Record to computer files"
This option cannot be changed because

"Record to computer" is selected in automatic recording options

I am on a new (2024) MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.5.

What do I do to save meetings to the cloud? I've seen mention that this may be an issue with permissions on my computer but I have no idea where to go to change that permission.

Thanks! Huge project starts in less than a week and we need to get this fixed asap.

hi - I hosted a meeting last week, and one of the participants requested to record the meeting, and a pop-up came up requesting that I give permission to host the meeting. I accepted, and assumed they would get the meeting recording. They are asking for the recording now which I cannot see in my recordings list. So not sure how this works when someone else other than the host requests the meeting to be recorded, is the host supposed to be able to see this, or should it be available direct the participant? I have checked both cloud and local recordings and its not there. Appreciate any feedback or help on this!

I'm a host for many Zoom meetings. Since I got a new computer (moving to Windows 11), I always join every meeting unmuted. I've confirmed that all the settings are correct ("Keep my microphone muted", "Mute all participants when they join a meeting", etc.). I'm getting so frustrated. How do I correct this setting?

Zoom version 6.4.10.

This has become a point of severe frustration. In a zoom meeting, that is recorded, I, the host am on the right, my counter part is on the left. ALL WE WANT TO DO is to flip sides. He is on the right and I am on the left. I can not find out how to do this to save my own sanity. I've looked everywhere and tried everything I can see on zoom, but there are no answers or solutions I can find. PLEASE help.

Camera not working during Zoom browser meetings

I'm running Windows 11 (Version 24HR (OS Build 26100.3476)) and my browser is Firefox (136.0.1 (64-bit)).  I have a healthcare provider that uses an online portal (https://www.athenahealth.com/patient-login) for virtual appointments.  When I attempt to join the appointments it opens Zoom in a browser window, even though I have the Zoom Workplace (Version: 6.3.11 (60501)) desktop app installed on my PC.

When I try to turn on the camera it says, you must grant permission in your browser settings and offers this link for more info (https://zoom.us/wc/support/mic) - note the microphone works just fine, it is only the camera that won't work.

Following the instruction at that link, I click the lock icon in the address bar of the browser window in which the telehealth appointment is open and click the ">" caret next to the words  "Connection Secure", then "More Information", and "Permissions".

From there I scroll down to "Use the Camera" and de-select "Use Default" and click the radio button next to "Allow", then close the tab, but the camera still won't turn on.  I then closed the browser, re-opened, navigated back to the telehealth portal and tried again, but still camera won't work and only gives the same link (https://zoom.us/wc/support/mic).  Looking at at the browser settings - camera permissions I see one website set to "Allow" (https://telehealth.px.athena.io), and this is the address from the telehealth portal), and no other websites listed.  There is a checkbox at the bottom to "block new requests asking to access your camera, but that is unchecked.

Everything I can see in the browser seems to be set with the correct permissions, but still the camera won't work in this Zoom browser portal.  I have used this PC with the Zoom Workspace app and the camera works fine.  I have used this PC and browser with both Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, and in both cases the camera works just fine.

I have an older Windows 10 device, using the same version of Firefox, with the same browser settings - camera permissions set to allow for the same website, and the camera works just fine.

Any advice as to what's wrong?

When in a zoom call, I can hear everyone fine, but if someone is in their car on a zoom call, i cant hear them or they cut in and out. However, everyone else on the call can hear them with no issues. I have also done the test where i go to zoom settings, Audio, Test speaker(Same as system) but the test chime is SUPER quiet, yet i can still hear all call participants without issue other than those in their car. I'm assuming this may be some AI noise suppression thing as to not hear car noise? But how can i fix this? All other computer audio sources work without issue. Windows 11 ver. 24H2, Zoom version 6.4.2

This began after a Windows 11 update on Saturday. The microphone stops working for 5 - 10 seconds spontaneously. So, I purchased a new webcam (with mic) but it's still happening. I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. I changed the microphone settings in Zoom. And it's still happening. I observe two things on the sound monitor on Zoom - sometimes the sound gauge becomes "stuck" at one sound level but my voice isn't being heard and other times it shows no input and my voice isn't being heard. I teach on Zoom - this is a huge problem and I have no idea what to do. Contacted Microsoft and they just tried updating the driver for the camera (which didn't change things). HELP! Thanks.

Zoom meeting will convert after being saved to desktop

I was recording a deposition and at the end it would not convert.  It was saved to the desktop and I got the double-click-to-convert  message under the Zoom blue icon but it would not convert.  I am using a MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.6.1.
