Hi, I have a pro membership. I always share my computer sound (music), via 'share screen' --> advanced options --> share computer sound/ audio. I haven't used zoom for one month. Now this option to share computer sound is no longer available. I have no idea why this has changed.
I have removed and then re-installed the app 'zoom workplace'. I have a MacAir, Apple M1, MacOS Seqoia 14.5.1.

I hope you can tell me how to fix this. thank you so much!

Our organization has several new laptops (Lenovo P1 Gen 5) with the AMD Radeon™ 780M graphics chip that are running into a BSOD when using virtual backgrounds in Zoom Workplace. This is across multiple users and computers, and all available drivers have been updated to their latest versions on all devices with no change in behavior. Our current version of Windows is 23H2, but we are upgrading soon to 24H2.

 

Steps to reproduce (so far):

  • Connect device to a docking station of some kind. If not docked, issue does not occur.
  • Connect external camera to device.
    • Does not matter if through docking station or a USB port on the laptop.
    • Occurs across multiple models of external cameras.
    • Issue does not occur with integrated camera.
  • Open Zoom Workplace version 6.4.3 (latest version)
  • Open settings or a new meeting with the external camera enabled
    • External camera must be selected as active camera
    • Issue still occurs with hardware acceleration disabled/difference video rendering methods.
  • Attempt to change/use virtual background.
    • Issue still occurs if a virtual background was already selected for use before zoom is opened.
  • Zoom will freeze completely, then eventually the computer will BSOD with the error code VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR
    • This is the error every time, it does not change
    • Even if Zoom is force quite immediately after the freeze through task manager, the BSOD will still happen.

After hours of troubleshooting we have not found a fix. This is largely disruptive to us, as some of our users train others on how to use Zoom and currently cannot show them how to use virtual backgrounds because the software is causing their computer to crash.

 

Microsoft Teams does not have this issue.

Using the ZOOM app on my Apple Tablet with iPadOS Version 16.7.11, I cannot schedule a meeting by inviting participants with EMAIL. I can prepare the email but there is no way to SEND the email. Although there is a circle with an arrow pointing up, it is GRAYED OUT and there is no response when selecting that symbol.

Hello! Over the past few weeks I've struggled a couple of times where zoom meetings I have scheduled (in Outlook with the Zoom plug in) have then not allowed me to start the meeting. 

I have been stuck in a waiting room waiting for the 'host' to start the meeting, along with the other attendees. But I am the host? 

I have tried logging in to Zoom newly but otherwise not sure what I can do here.

 

This isn't happening with all my zoom meetings but most of them. Any ideas why?

Hi Team,
I recorded 7 audio files during a single meeting, but only 3 are visible in the storage folder. During the session, I double-clicked one audio file to convert it, as I wanted to verify everything was working due to prior issues. After this conversion, the next 4 audio files are missing from the folder.
This is the first time I’ve encountered this problem.
Could you help identify where these files might be or suggest a solution to recover them?

Hello!

 

I'm experiencing issues with keyboard input during remote control sessions in Zoom meetings, and it seems related to Wayland.

 

System configuration:

  • OS -> Ubuntu 22.04
  • XDG_SESSION_TYPE=wayland
  • Keyboard Layout -> English (US)
  • Zoom 6.4.6 (1370)

Together with a colleague, who has the same system configuration, we tested all the combinations of Wayland and X11 environments. Only the X11 -> X11 setup worked correctly for us. The other combinations had the following issues:

  • X11 -> Wayland (shared screen) - The letters and numbers are mapped correctly, but it seems that the specials keys (e.g. Ctrl, Alt, Shift) are not triggering any event.
  • Wayland -> X11 (shared screen) - The letters and numbers are mapped correctly, also the special keys seem to work, but some hotkeys are mapped incorrectly (e.g. in an editor -> Ctrl + A does nothing, Ctrl + S closes the window))
  • Wayland -> Wayland (shared screen) - This combination is the worst, only a few keys are mapped correctly (e.g. l ;  ') and there are a lot of keys that do not trigger any event.

We have also tried to enable / disable the XWayland feature in the zoom.conf file, but, unfortunately, it had no effect.

 

I saw that there is this similar issue: problem with keyboard shortcuts in zoom for linux 

 

Do you know if there's a fix for this issue? We'd appreciate any help in resolving it.

Captions if not the host

Zoom market’s itself as being fully compliant and accessible. I am deaf and rely on captions. I am unable to have captions without the host of a meeting allowing them or the host nominating someone else. There is no incentive for me or for other deaf... Show more

Zoom market’s itself as being fully compliant and accessible. I am deaf and rely on captions. I am unable to have captions without the host of a meeting allowing them or the host nominating someone else. There is no incentive for me or for other deaf people to pay for a licence as video meetings are inaccessible whether we pay or not. 

 

I currently attend language lessons and have been since September and the tutor is struggling to understand how to enable captions. They must be a host as the lessons are two hours long.  I have neither the time or ability to talk them through what to do. I have read all of the forum posts I can find to see if I pay for an account whether that will give me the ability to have captions whether the host is capable or willing or not. It seems not. 


When is it going to be possible to get captions on Zoom ?  Will Zoom stop marketing itself as fully accessible until it enables captions for all users.
