It seems with every update Zoom does, not much is improved. In fact, it is quite the opposite. With this recent update (literally from yesterday to today), now when I share my screen with my students, I can no longer see the students on the side panel as I could before. Has anyone found a workaround for this? I like to see the students expressions if they are on camera to see if the lesson is registering. I also like to see who is still in the class without having to click anywhere else.

 

One other small thing I am finding to be the opposite of an improvement is the breakout room tool. In the past, when I clicked on the breakout room box, I could stretch it out vertically so that I could see all the participant groups at once. Now I cannot do this. I did not have a picture for this attached, but I think you get the idea. 

 

I would greatly appreciate if anyone could inform me of any tips. Thank you in advance.

Can't give remote control to iPhone user

Hi, I'm a music teacher. I connect my Condenser Microphone and the Guitar into my Focusrite Scarlett Solo. It has 2 dedicated channels for each inputs.

 

When I'm in Zoom meetings, I've noticed that there's some milli-seconds latency when I'm sharing my computer audio (accompanying background music ) while I play my guitar. The shared computer Audio is a bit ahead resulting it to make me sound "out of synch".

 

This is only noticeable to the person on the other end and not me. 

 

There are no problems otherwise regarding the MIC and Guitar synchronization. they're working like a charm.

 

It'll be of a great help if a solution is provided so that the Shared Computer audio does not go Out of Synch anymore.

i turn passcode off within admin settings on personal room. sometimes it asks guests for a passcode and i go back and check and it has changed in my settings to once again require a passcode. So i turn that off in admin and after a while, it turns itself back on again without me doing it or notifying me.

why is that please?

INSERT EXTERNAL SOUND TO ZOOM

Hello!

how can I insert an extermal sound source (e.g. conference console) into a Zoom meeting? I mean: make the conference participants to be heard by the Zoom participants.

Resolved! Webcam is distorted in ZOOM only after meeting starts

When I set ZOOM up for a meeting and check my audio and video, etc. everything is fine. Then the meeting starts and my video from my webcam starts to get distorted. I have tried many things, like updating camera drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling... Show more

When I set ZOOM up for a meeting and check my audio and video, etc. everything is fine. Then the meeting starts and my video from my webcam starts to get distorted. I have tried many things, like updating camera drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling ZOOM, but nothing works. Plus, this happens on an HP and Dell laptop running Windows 10.

 

Would resetting laptop to factory settings help? Thanks for any input that will lead to a successful outcome.

Post-Meeting Survey for All (including Host) to Answer

As the meeting's host, is it possible to issue a post-meeting survey (within Zoom) that appears for all attendees - including the meeting host? Right now, only the participants are receiving the survey (not the host).

My Zoom application was glitchy so I looked that up on this forum and it was said that my mac was missing 2 files (I got an error code: 10008) so I uninstalled the application, and then I installed the application. There were two choices, the main download and another for macs with a certain chip.  I tried both and neither will open, it says it's not supported by a mac.  So, I am paying for Zoom and have a big meeting tonight and I can't download the application.  Can someone help me with this? I have a2 year old mac running Ventura 13.2.1

Poeple that I sent it to are telling me that it requires a pascode, so I sent to the settings and took away the passcode for accessing recordings, but it only applies to future meetings.

Where do I find the passcode for recorded meetings? I tried the original meeting passcode but it's not valid.

Zoom support issues

I believe there is an issue with my organizations account or support for the account. I called the zoom number and pressed 2 for tech support. I then entered my personal meeting ID followed by my host id. I was then told my account did not have phone... Show more

I believe there is an issue with my organizations account or support for the account.  I called the zoom number and pressed 2 for tech support.  I then entered my personal meeting ID followed by my host id.  I was then told my account did not have phone support available and to use the community forum or Chat support.  I tried Chat support while logged in and I was told by the chat bot I did not qualify for that support either.  It then said to contact the account admin for more help (My account is account admin). Output from chat below.  We have Professional license with 10 users, how can that no qualify for support?  If that is the case we will have to look for another meeting option, paid 10 user account with no live support is not acceptable.
