I always hate it when none of the topic options seems to match my question in any way.  So I'm just posting here in the hope that someone will re-direct me to the appropriate forum.

For over a year, I have, in advance of a Zoom meeting, seleted a background for the meeting by logging in to Zoom through a shortcut, clicking the "Settings" button, selecting "Backgrounds and Settings", then choosing an clicking on one, which updated my background so that, when I logged in to the meeting, my chosen background was in place.

Last night when I followed that procedure, all of my backgrounds appeared as grayed out.  Clicking on any one of them did not instal them.  The "add" button was inoperative.

This morning I tried the same procedure after re-booting.  I got the same (non-) results.

In frustration, I uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom.  Except for the fact that now my personal backgrounds did not appear (as expected), the outcome after logging in through the shortcut was unchanged.  I looked up the Change Your Virtual Background Page, and attempted to follow the instructions.  I click on settings, then the meeting tab, then on InMeeting (Advanced).  This last had no effect, but I was able to scroll down to a Virtual Background item, where I verified that it was set to "on" and that "allow videos" was checked.  

It cannot be that the meeting host had for some reason disallowed backgrounds, as my inability to set a background existed prior to my joining a meeting.

The same device has been in use for every instance in this discussion.

We are conducting a class with spanish and english speaking people. Some use spanish, some use english and some use original language since they understand both. The interpreter is also a student, end everytime she needs to participate we all have to agree and choose the same channel in order to hear her participation.

Is there a way for the interpreter to make an announce or talk to everyone. Other than ending the interpretation, do the talking, and then reactivate interpretation?

I have had Zoom pro for over 2 yrs and never had a problem with anything. Yesterday I tried to Screenshare a YouTube video, put it on share sound, and lost the ability to have people hear me. My wife could hear the video, but not me! Any ideas here? I have a class of over 30 tomorrow... help!

I can't find where the option to set up a virtual background is when I'm using the Zoom app on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet, which I was hoping to be able to use to teach a class. I know where it is when I use Zoom on my computer desktop app, but the android app for a tablet seems to be very limited. Is there no option to add a background when using the app?

More generally, are there any how-to articles about using this particular app? Everything I find is either for a phone or the desktop app, both of which appear to be very different.

I have a webcam on a tripod in the middle of my screen, but every time I try to go into a breakout room the "broadcast rooms - in progress" box pops up in the middle of the screen so it's blocked by the camera. I'd like to change the pop up location so that it is off to the sided. Thanks!

I am trying to stream to youtube using the custom zoom option. I provided all the information requires to includ Stream Key, Streaming URL and Live Streaming Page. However, when i select go live, the stream does not appear in the scheduled page on youtube. 

Secondly, if i try to create a new schedule, it goes back to the previous one, even with a new stream key
