Zoom did an auto update this week and in the process disabled my outlook calendar link. If I try to link a meeting to my calendar it comes up with an error message. If I try to link either Office 365 or Google calendars following the recommended procedure, the process fails. Google seems to just do nothing despite the log in process working. Office 365 fails to recognise my user name despite the fact that my user name and password is working fine for all other Microsoft apps. I spent 1.5 hours on a chat with Microsoft last night and the conclusion was that this is a zoom issue. Any suggestions or solutions out there? iMac running Ventura.

This is so absurd I forgot my password so how am I suppose to magically remember it to change it after clicking "Forgot Password".  At this point to get help has been a maze I don't even know if this is for real help or just random user suggestions.

It appears to me that every window on Windows remembers it's last location and size when the application is closed.  Except Zoom Meetings.  It opens this huge oblong box covering 2/3rds of my screen every. single. time.  I move it to the side and and resize it to get my work done.  Restart, boom, back to the center.

I know, first world problems, but seriously, why can't Zoom perform like every other application?

Yes, I've shift-closed, ctrl-closed, closed following any other article I could find that would give me a clue.

(Don't get me started about the "X" in the upper right corner not closing an application.  I'm seriously thinking this app is getting a kardashian complex (huge resource usage, always has to be the center of attention, can't believe everyone doesn't know who it is..)

I had scheduled a Zoom meeting for 8/10, but I have a problem with audio. After trying several suggestions to fix the audio I uninstalled Zoom and reinstalled it on my laptop. I no longer see the 8/10 meeting in the scheduled Zoom section, yet all the link and contact info still appears on my Google calendar. I need clarification. Will I need to reschedule to 8/10 meeting?

Thanks

Hello there,

We are in the process of creating a bot that can directly retrieve real-time transcripts from Zoom meetings, similar to what Fireflies offers. We've dedicated the past two days to researching this matter. However, we have not yet identified a suitable solution. Hello!

I've received this email from a supossed marketing agency to join them for an intro call. They sent me a Zoom invite over email, but they're asking for my zoom link back, is this real? I have never had to send my own personal link in order to being able to connect as they say?

"Okay but you need to send me your zoom link also to connect"

Thanks

Playing music

I want to play music on my zoom meetings, without screen sharing.

I found "Audio" under "settings" - but I could not find "Music and Professional Audio". So I was not able to click the buttons there.

Dear Zoom,

I'm trying to get Zoom working on our new WVD environment. I've installed the Zoom for VDI appilcaton and also installed the Zoom plugin on my own laptop. When I start zoom (in WVD) the client opens and connects to the plugin on my local machine (so far so good). But when I am in the meeting, I cannot see any camera of other users within the call. Also I cannot see their names or anything. If I turn on my own camera, the other people (who are not using Zoom for VDI) within the meeting can see my video stream, but I cannot.

I've added a screenshot of the Zoom for VDI application which shows the behavior.

Also below the specifications of our Windows Virtual Desktop environment.

WVD environment:

Windows Virtual Desktop (running Windows 10 21h1)

Zoom for VDI (version 5.8.0)

RDP settings below

Screenshot 2021-10-18 105513.png

Client

Zoom Plugin for Windows Virtual Desktop Client (version 5.8.0)

Do you have any idea what causes this issue?

Thanks a lot!

Kind regards,

YS

I'm planning on running multiple group lessons with up to 20 students. They will all be paying in different frequencies (IE some buying lessons for two weeks, some for ten etc). Is it possible to generate a unique meeting link for each individual student, which expires when it should? This would mean no roll-call for me, as I know that if they are in the lesson, they must still have a valid meeting link. No-one could turn up to class with their old link. Possible? Or is their any other (automated as possible) way to gate my classes, other than monitoring who has run out of credits and kicking them out if needs be... Thanks
