Hello everyone!

A locally saved recording cannot be converted.
It also does not appear in the list of recordings made.
However, there are the recordings in a folder with the temp files.
When double-clicking on the two “double_click_to_convert.zoom” files, the only error message that appears is “unknown file type”

Copying the files to another folder and trying
from there has not brought any improvement.
Operating system is Ubuntu.

Thanks
Ino

Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I'm currently setting up a touch device (digital whiteboard) in a classroom to create a hybrid teaching experience. The idea is to run Zoom on the device (which uses Windows) and have an extended screen where the teacher can see only the participants' video.

So far, things are working well: when the teacher starts the meeting and shares their screen, the content is displayed correctly on the main device, and the participants’ video appears on the secondary screen — without interruptions.

However, there is an issue: when a student or participant shares their screen, their content is shown on the secondary screen instead of the main one. This behavior is unexpected and problematic, as we want shared content to always appear on the main display and have the control toolbar always there as well.

We found a temporary workaround by connecting a mouse and manually dragging the Zoom window back to the main screen. While this works, it’s not ideal since the device is touch-based and doesn’t include a mouse or keyboard by default.

Is there a way to configure Zoom or Windows to always show shared content (especially from participants) on the main display automatically? We’re aiming for a hands-free, fully touch-based setup.

Thank you in advance!

I am getting frequent invites to zoom sessions that I have not requested, signed up for or otherwise asked for.

The invites are coming from zoom .

I do not see any ability to unsubscribe in the invite. want to stop getting these eMails, please let me know how to do that.

FYI, the support chatbot turns 'Unsolicited Invites' into 'Heres how to invite someone'. All I want is to stop receiving invites from this source.

Atenciosamente,

Lívia.

Hello,
when I host a Zoom meeting and start a screen share, the participants always see a black bar at the top. This is the zoom bar for me. Even if a pop-up window appears that another participant wants to join the meeting, the other participants see this as a black box. I've attached an image as an example. I've already looked through all the settings, updated the Zoom client, but I just can't get this to go away. I work on Windows 10 Pro. Can someone help or give a tip here? Thanks!

Been having this problem for two months with no resolution.

Computer is hooked up to Dual Monitors and works fine for the day until I join a Zoom Meeting at which point ALL of the computers apps, moving my mouse around the screen, etc. all lags.

AGAIN, computer only lags once I join the Zoom Meeting, even if my mic and camera are off and I'm not screensharing. All apps lag. Mouse movement lags bad which has nothing to do with internet.

About half of the time, I can unplug from the dual monitors and it'll speed up. Sometimes it requires restarting my computer for the computer to stop lagging even after the call.

Hardware & Software:

 - Dell Latitude 7430 (new in March 2023) / 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1265U 1.80GHz / 32GB Ram / 64-bit, x64-based processor /Windows 11 Enterprise version 22H2

- TWO Dell 2422HE monitors with built-in docking station, daisy-chained and plugged into laptop via USB-C.

Modem hardwired to Monitors.

- Zoom v 5.16.1 (22523)....the most up-to-date available for my company as of 9/26/2023.

- Internet Speed Off of VPN: Download 295 MBPS (13 latency), Upload 294mbps (10 latency)

- Internet Speed On VPN: Download 20mbps (112 latency), Upload 54mbps (118 latency)

Solutions Tried: (restarted after all of them)

- Deleting Zoom, Reinstalling.

- Checking for BIOS updates daily.

- Checking for Zoom updates daily.

- Manually checked Graphics Driver Updates

- Manually checked monitor updates.

- I have tried all of these Zoom Settings - checked and unchecked all of these. restarted after unchecking/checking each. 'Use dual monitors' in General, Otimpize quality of the video I send with de-noise, optimize quality of the video I receive with super resolution, ALL of the hardware acceleration options, Video Rendering Method -> Direct3D9. 'Use TCP connection for screensharing' Use hardware acceleration for screensharing and to optimize video sharing.

- I had another set of dual monitors (Spectre brand, lower resolution) and connected to those with an external docking station. Same issue exists.

- Zoom on Cisco VPN and off of VPN.

- My previous company laptop ran on Zoom Meetings fine with these monitor set ups.

- I've tried this hardwired to monitor, and not hardwired.

- I'll close all apps but Google Chrome and/or Excel during the Zoom Meeting and it doesn't help.

- CPU and Memory rarely get above 60% and I have never seen them get above 70% even when computer is lagging like crazy.

- Processes that seem to correlate with when I join a Zoom Meeting and the computer starting to run slow: 'Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation' and sometimes 'System interrupt'

 Any suggestions?

I have a weird issue when it comes to meetings. When I am in a zoom meeting, the person talking would randomly freeze but I can still hear the audio. The interesting thing is, only the person speaking freezes, the others in the call are fine. I confirmed that no one else in the calls have this issue with the main person speaking, so it's isolated to me only. I am not sure what the problem is, but my computer stats are the following:

Ryzen 99503xd

GTX 5090

96gb ram

1gb down wifi / ethernet cable (happens on both)

57" Samsung Ultra Wide at 240hz (DP2.1)

Zoom ver: Version: 6.4.12 (64384)

Things I've done

- Reinstalled Zoom

- Reinstalled Video Drivers

- Installed most recent AMD chip set drivers

- All drivers are up to date on everything

When looking at load on cpu/gpu, its quite low, so it can't really be that. Anyone have any ideas why this happens?
