Hello! I am wondering if it is possible, and if so how, to create a group chat in a regular zoom meeting. For example, we are going to have a zoom meeting with 10 people, but I need to be able to have a 3 person only chat going out of the group. I know you can chat to just one person, or to all, but can i chat to 2 people only at the same time? Is this something the host, or co-host can do? Thank you so much if anyone knows anything about this!

I want my meetings to record to the cloud, with speaker view only. I want the slides to appear in full, with the speaker next to the slides, not on TOP of the slides. I understand how to change the settings for this in Zoom, but that seems to only effect local recordings, not cloud recordings. How can I set the cloud recording to record the speaker NEXT to the slides instead of on TOP of the slides (where it covers up headings/text).

I have a desktop PC with an old i7 CPU, 16Gb RAM, Geforce GTX 1650 GPU and Windows running on a SSD. When I open the Zoom app, even without starting a call, my computer slows down. The mouse pointer starts to jump on screen instead of having a smooth flow. Even when I'm in a Zoom call the resources are not topped. Zoom uses around 3% CPU, and overall GPU never crosses the 30% threshold and is below 50 degrees Celsius. RAM is less than 90% used and CPU is less than 20% overall. I tried disabling hardware acceleration but it didn't worked. Again I don't have to start a call to see the mouse pointer jumping around the screen. The only solution is to restart the PC. I noticed this a few months back, and it's getting pretty annoying. Any suggestions?

Hi, We do a weekly company webinar on Zoom and noticed that when the participants join the meeting using their Zoom software, the quality is great --- however, if they join through their browser (MS Edge) the quality is poor. NOTES Note1: all the employees use company laptops and desktops loaded with Windows 10 and MS Edge, so other browsers are not an option. Note2: It's safe to assume the majority of participants are not tech savvy, so the goal here is to get them to join a high-quality Zoom meeting, with the least number of additional steps. Note3: Many of the employees have a fully licensed copy of Zoom on their laptops, but some don't yet. QUESTIONS Question 1: Is there a way, on the host side, to ensure that when a participant joins a meeting via browser, they will always get the same high-quality audio and HD video as if they were using the software? Question 3: With the Invitation link that's sent via email, is there a way to force it to only open their Zoom software without confusing them with an additional option to join the meeting via their browser? Question 4: (Unrelated - curiosity Questions) - MS Teams claims to have comparable HD quality to Zoom, but never once have I ever experienced a Teams meeting to ever even come close to the quality of Zoom (Software Version), with either Audio or Video. Curious if anyone knows the specific reason as to how Zoom always manages to have better quality audio and Video... Is the audio less compressed, is it sampled at a higher bitrate, is a better encoder etc? My tech team is a big fan of Zoom, but we always have to justify this every quarter, because our parent company has a big account with Microsoft. So would be nice to know the comparison of the tech specs that account for the differences.
Question 2: Is there a way, on the participant side, to ensure that when they join a meeting via browser, they will always get the same high-quality audio and HD video as if they were using the software?
Thank you to all who reply to this. I appreciate you taking the time. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I've been using ZOOM in my classes for the past 3 years or more and I had never had any situation like the one I've been facing. Every time I start my classes I have to UNMUTE my microphone and it had never been like that before. I don't want to start the meetings muted. I want my microphone to be ON every time. Does anybody know where or how I can fix this? I've already spent hours changing settings here and there but nothings seems to work.

I recorded a 1 hour meeting and the video is not in Zoom neither on my computer. Before I began the recording I did a test during that same meeting for 7 seconds. That one saved locally as well as on Zoom. But the one that's the 1 hour long that I really need is nowhere, and it's been 6 hours since the meeting. Any tips on how to retrieve this? Or even to understand what went wrong? Was it because I tested it first and then the second video just didn't save?
