I have been using zoom for a few years now and have both one off meetings and recurring appointments set up in there. I recently upgraded to a new laptop and was prompted to update the zoom client version too. My one off meetings are fine but all of my recurring meetings have been duplicated many MANY times - so I have to scroll pages and pages to get to the one I need. Anyone else? Is there a quick fix and/or if I delete one will it delete the link so it doesn't work? These are all for paying clients so I'm keen not to mess it up!!!

I love to be using zoom meeting and I am using zoom meting just because the privacy and it good and easy to use but for the last one month I am facing issues in it. I wanted to reach out to this community to discuss some issues I've been facing while using Zoom on my Ryzen 9 laptop[https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/d/ryzen-9-gaming-laptop/] I appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have to help me resolve these problems.

I have noticed that the audio and video quality during my Zoom meetings is not up to par. Sometimes the audio cuts out, and the video appears pixelated or freezes intermittently.

I have also been facing issues with disruptive participants in my Zoom meetings. These individuals often join uninvited and cause disruptions, which can be quite frustrating and time-consuming to handle.

My laptop specifications:

Processor: Ryzen 9

RAM: 16 GB

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX

Window 10

I have a paid / Pro account and regularly set up many meetings each week so am very familiar with the whole process. I haven't had any issues until today when I am suddenly getting a "request failed with status code 401" when I try to set up a meeting, and am not able to complete my meeting scheduling. I'm on a Mac and through Chrome. I've tried clearly my cache and logging out and back in. Any ideas on what's going on?

latest version 5.15 won't allow audio to be heard from anyone signed on including me the admin

Downloaded latest version on June 20th, 2023 and now my audio doesn't work for anyone even though on checking it indicates it's working any suggestions.

I play instructional videos which I stream from another source for my clients  using Zoom. Everything worked well until I had to change computers and replaced my old Windows 10 machine with a new Windows 11 ma chine. Since I started using the new Win 11 box I am suffering audio dropout on the played streams. The tests work perfectly and I have no problem with audio between myself and the client.

I think it is caused by noise cancelation but I don't know how to test for that or what to do if that is the problem.  Of course I don't really know that is the issue. 

Again the audio is perfect when communicating verbally. The problem only occurs when I stream videos to the client.

My zoom just updated to 5.12.0 and I noticed that it added a shadow and a camera blocked icon on virtual background when physical camera is covered. While I found a way to get rid of the shadow (apply a greenscreen setting) it is neither perfect, nor it solves the camera blocked icon in the middle of my background. Is there a way to remove it?

How to change name of personal meeting room displayed in waiting room

When someone enters the waiting room for my personal meeting room, the topic says "[My Name]'s Personal Meeting Room." Can I change the meeting topic to something else? I saw the tip to schedule a meeting using my personal room, and name the scheduled meeting whatever I want. That did not work for me. My waiting room still said "[My Name]'s Personal Meeting Room." Also I'm hoping there's a way I can do it without having to schedule meetings. Thank you!

I use the Zoom client app on my Linux laptop, and it runs under a proxy setting configured by a PAC (Proxy Auto Configuration) file. Unfortunately, sometimes even when I'm not in a meeting, a client process (maybe proxy-related) can run wild and make the fan noise so loud.

 

According to the logs in ~/.zoom/logs/zoom_stdout_stderr.log:

 

Download of https://example.com/proxy.pac failed: TLS initialization failed
qt.network.ssl: QSslSocket::connectToHostEncrypted: TLS initialization failed
qt.network.ssl: QSslSocket::connectToHostEncrypted: TLS initialization failed

 

There are many lines of the same logs!

 

As the messages say, if I change the proxy settings and download the PAC file via HTTP, the problem will not occur. But I don't want to do that if possible.

 

Is this an issue with my environment? Or is it a Zoom client issue?

 

Here is my environment info.

Zoom: 5.15.0 (4063)
OS: Linux 5.19.0 (Ubuntu 22.04)
