Scheduled a meeting, both parties were mute, and video did not work. I saw my guest for two seconds, then heard them, then all went mute. My camera below has a red mark and there was no way to get rid of that as unmute.

This was done on my desktop using a PC laptop.  

One time I was invited to a meeting and the same thing happened

Local Recording *ONLY,* No Cloud -- How?

Until relatively recently, my Zoom desktop client (Windows, latest version) was set up to record calls locally to my computer -- video, plus different audio tracks for each speaker. Now, and over the last few months, however, it *only* records to the cloud and requires me to download it.

My desktop client will create a folder for the call on my local machine, and it will save chat transcripts, but the recordings themselves are ONLY saved to the cloud, despite the fact that I have cloud recording turned off and local recording turned on in my account settings -- in other words, I have everything set up both in the settings of my desktop client and in my online account settings to make local recordings work... but Zoom continues to save recordings only in the cloud.

Anyone else experiencing this??? Thanks!

I have the free version of Zoom on my Ubuntu machine. My Ubuntu install details:

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS
Release: 22.04
 

When I go to share my screen with another participant the participant is unable to see my screen they tell me they see black. Then I did some research and saw this post https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/202082128-Troubleshooting-black-screen-during-screen-sharing

 

When I follow this section:

Configure xcompmgr

After installing, open the terminal and run this command:

xcompmgr -c -l0 -t0 -r0 -o.00

 

I get this message:

Another composite manager is already running (0x800016)

Please help. Thank you.

IT Support?

Hey every time I try to join a zoom meeting lately the popup from the picture keeps popping up?. I'm very confused, I thought I was up to date with my account. Can someone please help me solve this?

MY OLD MEETING ID NUMBER WAS CHANGED BECAUSE THE SYSTEM NEEDED UPDATING. I got a new meeting id in error. Hpow do i go back to my original meeting id #

Meeting Template - Registration Questions

I have several questions saved on a meeting template but the questions do not show when I use that meeting template. Why would that be and can I do something to ensure the registration questions show when I create new meetings using that template?

I just installed Zoom a couple of weeks ago.  As an FYI, any time we install a program like this, we disable "start with windows" - which I did in this case.

 

Since then, any time I open firefox browser (we usually use Chrome), the Zoom app opens up!

 

Searching Google, I saw many references to "you have zoom set to launch with windows".   I don't see how that would effect launching Firefox.  When I open Chrome, Zoom doesn't launch.

However, of course I went into the app and confirmed "start with windows" is not checked.

 

I wonder if any of the experts on here might have a suggestion?

Video/access issues

I recently acquired a new zoom account, however when the meeting is being pulled up, it states that my account needs an update, asks me to contact the IT admin (I have no idea who that is since this is a personal account), and redirects me to a "Join... Show more
I recently acquired a new zoom account, however when the meeting is being pulled up, it states that my account needs an update, asks me to contact the IT admin (I have no idea who that is since this is a personal account), and redirects me to a "Join Using Browser" button. When I click on this, it takes me to the room, but I feel there is a better or more normal way to access. 
 
Also, there is not an area in my account or profile that indicates an upgrade is needed. Additonally, I cannot screen share and see the participants at the same time, which will not work for me.
 
Please lmk what steps I need to update, and to remedy the screen share feature.
