Since the introduction of Linux client 5.11 zoom does not allow sharing a portion of the screen but either your full monitor or certain app windows. Sharing part of the screen was very useful to me as I have an ultrawide monitor and sharing the entire monitor or just an app is not good enough.

Why was this removed? Will it be introduced again?

I am trying how to find out how to get better and higher quality in my Zoom recoding by using my phone. Could experts please help me to answer these questions:

1. Will there be any difference in the recording resolution (I think the default is 640 by 480) and quality if I record my Zoom meeting using a phone connection by WIFI versus 5G (will the video quality improve in higher resolution like 1280 by 720? and what about the sound quality?

2. will there be any difference in the recording resolution if I record my Zoom meeting using an iPhone 14 pro versus a Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 5g? I mean if the phone is better in camera quality and microphone quality, how will my recording resolution and audio quality measure up with these devices?

3. what other pro-tips you can share with me or zoom settings I can apply to make my recording higher quality and higher resolution, assuming that I have a lot of data mobile bandwidth, so it is not a problem in this aspect?

Hi, I have been assigned as an admin by my employer and am in charge of scheduling meetings. Im facing a problem where he cant see any o the meetings I schedule and I cant see his. How do we fix this? The admin section 'display meetings scheduled for others' is highlighted so im unsure what else to do. Has anyone got any solutions? thanks in advance

My Zoom app updated itself a few weeks back (I'm now on Version: 5.16.5 (24296)) and, ever since, it's been taking me ages to join meetings and to go into/come back out of breakout rooms. This is really frustrating as it means I miss chunks of the online language class I'm doing. I've tried deleting and re-installing the app but it's made zero difference. It's a disgrace considering the previous version worked fine.

I want to schedule three zoom meetings at the same time and I want to assign alternative hosts and waiting room enabled, would that work? Would all the participants be able to do the meeting with the alternative hosts? I don't intend on being in the meeting, but I would only schedule them. Thanks.

I can only join the meeting via the link I send to the participant and then I'm still registered as a host, but I don't find it in my account. And I don't want to change the number and want to keep the link so what to do if I don't want to create a new one? @meeting

When ever I share screen on zoom By default "Screen 1" option is selected. Suppose I click on "Whiteboard" option in Share Screen window and I shared the screen. After sometime if i stopped share screen and share it again, by default 'Whileboard' option will be selected, instead of 'Screen 1'.

Steps:

• Start any Zoom Meeting
• Click on 'Share Screen'
• You will notice that by default 'Screen 1' option is selected by default
• Select 'Whiteboard' option and click on 'Share' button. 
• Click 'Stop Share' to share screen
• Again click on 'Share Screen' Button.

Expected: It should again select 'Screen 1' option as it's default one.

Actual: Still ''Whiteboard' option is selected.
