Cloud Recording Did Not Record Co Host Video

We were recording a hybrid meeting with a host, co-host, virtual attendees, and a live in-person audience where the speakers were located.

Sound/audio was run through the host laptop. Video was run through the co-host laptop.

We recorded the meeting to the cloud. Host was un-muted, video off. Co-host had video on, audio muted/off.

However - the recording recorded no video. Just a black screen with the name of the host. You could hear the speakers perfectly! But no video at all. Shouldn't it have at least showed the video of the co-host? This was incredibly frustrating, and has made us thought about not continuing with Zoom for our meeting needs.

 

In the future, we need to do the same set-up......host and co-host, with host being the vector for audio and the co-host being utilized for  video, and have it record both. Is there a setting we missed? We would prefer the co-host to have their video as the main/primary screen in the recording.

I received email "cloud recording has been disabled because your account has used up all of the available cloud storage space".  I deleted recordings, thinking I would be re-enabled automatically, but did not.  I do not want to purchase more storage, so what else can I do to get my recordings stored in the cloud again?

Hello, I need help, I am recording my classes to upload them later to my students portal, but the quality is not the same as in the live meeting, I have checked the settings and in theory I should be able to record in HD, but I can't, someone has the same problem and managed to solve it, thanks!

If host turns off a participants camera, we'd like them to be able to turn it back on later.

If a host turns off a participants video, the participant used to be able to turn the video back on when they came back to their desk. This is not an option now and tells the participant that the host has disabled their camera. Is there a setting we ... Show more

If a host turns off a participants video, the participant used to be able to turn the video back on when they came back to their desk.  This is not an option now and tells the participant that the host has disabled their camera.  Is there a setting we can change to allow the participants to turn their cameras back on themselves?

Resolved! Zoom no longer opening up Outlook on Windows to send meeting invitations

I've had the Zoom plugin for Outlook on Windows for the past year, and scheduling a meeting opened up Outlook to send the meeting invitation. Now it opens up a "Sign in with Google" window with the message "Choose an account to continue to Zoom". How... Show more

I've had the Zoom plugin for Outlook on Windows for the past year, and scheduling a meeting opened up Outlook to send the meeting invitation.  Now it opens up a "Sign in with Google" window with the message "Choose an account to continue to Zoom".

 

How do I get back to using my Outlook email?  The Zoom plugin is enabled in Outlook and I didn't change anything, but of course Outlook and Zoom get updated frequently and could have messed something up.

 

I tried uninstalling the Zoom plugin and re-installing but Windows tells me I need to be an administrator to do that, but I am an administrator.

 

How do I fix this?

Can't add alternate hosts by username

All other users are in the same organization and are under a paid account. When i go to type in an alternate host, a a drop box comes down with suggestions to click in order to use usernames. For example if i go to add "Tom Smith" I will type T..o.. ... Show more

All other users are in the same organization and are under a paid account.  When i go to type in an alternate host, a a drop box comes down with suggestions to click in order to use usernames.   For example if i go to add "Tom Smith"   I will type T..o.. and then the auto complete will show me:  Tom Smith  (***********)   or Tom Sams (***********)   but not all the toms will be there.     

 

What is happening right now is that I would type Tom  into the box and Tom Sams would show up but not the Tom i would be looking for and just typing in his name gives me an error of  "Unable to assign "Tom Smith" as an alternative host because the user cannot be selected at this time".   But if i put in his email address of ***********, then it goes through fine.       

 

Does anybody know what it is that distinguishes when a user is used in the drop down box?    Everybody looks to be set up exactly the same, so i am unsure why i can't just find everybody there.
