session rooms are always working

Hello everyone! Please tell me if there are any options on how to make sure that the session rooms are always working, even when no one is in the conference? So that participants can come in and use the rooms without the organizer.

Sharing Host Key with a trustworthy person

Hi,

Can I share my Host Key with a person I trust so he can claim the host during a meeting?

Thanks,

I have been experiencing an issue with my team for screensharing and audio with Zoom.

Basically, screen sharing option is missing for participants. The only options they see are Participants, Raise hand, Meeting info and More.
They are also unable to join with an audio in a Zoom meeting. The issue doesn't seem to happen for a host of a meeting.

I first noticed this on MacOS devices but soon realized this issue is coming up in all browsers (Chrome, Edge and Safari) and Windows as well. Using the latest version of Zoom on macOS and windows devices.

I have already checked and made sure Zoom has access to all settings in this article: Enabling screen sharing for participants in Zoom meetings

I have also made sure the global settings in Zoom admin is not restricting screen sharing. This is happening to all users in my team for any internal or external meeting where they are the participants.

Any ideas?

I am relatively green with this technology and I would appreciate your help so I can avoid any issues the day of!  Thank you for your help in advance!  FYI, I am a pro member.

I will be holding multiple interviews throughout the day with 3 interviewers, each joining separately.  Each of the interviewees will also join separately for their one 1 hour slot.

To make it easier, can I create one meeting link and share it with everyone including the interviewees?

And if we take a 1 hour lunch break in the middle of the day, will the meeting automatically stop, requiring us to log into the meeting again?  Should we have one link for before lunch and one for after lunch?

Stronger Action on High-Risk Financial Meetings

Hi Zoom Team,

This is a suggestion, but also a genuine plea for accountability.

There are dozens of online schemes—flagged by government regulators around the world—that continue to use Zoom as their primary meeting platform. These aren’t just small-time operations; they are large-scale financial recruitment schemes with public warnings issued by authorities like New Zealand’s FMA, Australia’s ASIC, the State of California’s DFPI, and others.

If you go to YouTube and search for RainBNB, RideBNB, We Are All Satoshi, or Infinity Pi DAO, you’ll see they are still actively recruiting members via Zoom-hosted meetings.

I have personally submitted over 120 Zoom links related to these activities, many of them supported by official documents showing that these schemes have already been flagged. I’ve documented this abuse extensively and am willing to share it again if anyone at Zoom is willing to listen.

Instead, I received a ban for “violating community standards” simply for showing verified documents in a live stream that exposed the people behind one of these operations. Meanwhile, the actual meetings promoting these schemes continue without interruption.

I am offering my help to clean up the platform, but I feel ignored. It's incredibly frustrating to be silenced for disrupting fraud while the fraud itself is left alone to flourish.

Zoom needs to take responsibility. If there is no intention to enforce Section 8 of your own Acceptable Use Policy, then why is it there?

Please consider creating a dedicated review process for serious reports that include public warnings from regulators, and please tell us how to escalate these issues appropriately. I want to help—but right now, it doesn’t seem like Zoom wants the help.

Regards,
Danny de Hek

I've had an on-going problem with classes I take via Zoom.  As the class progresses, the audio degrades.  It usually begins as light pops or crackle when the instructors and guests are speaking, and ends with so much static and distortion that no one is comprehensible.  If I leave the class and rejoin, everything is crystal clear again . . . for a while.  It seems to only affect me, none of the other people on the call.  And to clarify, the static and distortion are only there while other's are speaking, and does not continue through silence.

We've changed our internet service, upgraded to fiber, but the issue remains.  What else can I explore?

If I were only observing/listening, leaving and coming back wouldn't be such an issue; but in some cases my role is participatory, and if I cannot understand what the others are saying, then my being there is useless.  I've had no issues with multi-hour Google or Facebook calls on the same desktop with the same peripherals, if that helps narrow the field of where to look next.

Thanks, all!

FEATURE REQUEST:

Product: Zoom Meetings

Feature details:

Please enable the ability for PARTICIPANTS of Zoom meetings to prevent recording and/or note taking in meetings that they are in. There are certain sensitive accounts (e.g. HR, CEO, etc) that wish to prevent recording at all times for security and privacy reasons. Zoom currently only allows the host to control this, but there should be a setting for participants to disallow this as well.

Note, Google Meet has such a setting (via Admin controls).

Thank you!

Jeff

Could you please allow me to change the sound when someone enters the room?
