I would like to package and deploy the Zoom Workplace Client via SCCM, however my experience has been that it closes the Zoom client. 

Is there a way to upgrade the Workplace Client via an SCCM package that doesn't close the client?

Here is my install:

Recording

I am concerned that a video I shared with a group was then shared by a member of that group and shouldn't have been. My question is...if I delete that video from my library, would it also delete the video for anyone who may have downloaded that video... Show more

I am concerned that a video I shared with a group was then shared by a member of that group and shouldn't have been.  My question is...if I delete that video from my library, would it also delete the video for anyone who may have downloaded that video? Or would it be pointless?

Resolved! can't get the microphone to hear my drum

My microphone won't pick up the sound my drum or rattles  - tried ChatGPT fixes still doesn't work -turned off the background noise suppression and all the other recommendations but still no joy - any further suggestions?

While I am able to see closed captions in some meetings, I am unable to turn them on in other meetings. I have gone to Accessibility in Settings, but  CC simply would not appear at the bottom of the screen. They did not turn on when the other member present initiated the call, nor when I initiated the call. I did get as far as seeing the sample of a caption, and I turned on "enable." I hope someone can guide me to a solution.

I have read about a similar error with many other users historically and some that are in different situations than myself.  I have an individual business license for Zoom (and am the administrator of my account) but am missing the recording (and whiteboard) buttons.  I have tried a few troubleshooting steps so far.  For the purposes of this discussion, I am talking only about local (not cloud) recordings.

 

1. I've checked the storage location for local recording storage (and the folder exists).

2. Under the web profile settings, record to computer files is enabled.

3. If I turn on automatic recordings (which I don't want to happen all the time), recording does start.  This doesn't add the recording or whiteboard buttons.

4. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the application, without success.

 

Does anyone have any other ideas or steps I can take to troubleshoot this?  It is frustrating.

I often am in zoom meetings with 10-75 people.  When I am in the gallery view, I would like to easily and quickly organize the order of the video participants according to various options, such as:

 

1. Alphabetical organization by first name (A-Z)

2. Alphabetical organization by first name (Z-A)

3. As a sub-option, put all muted (either video OR audio) participants (in alphabetical order as requested in 1 or 2 above) either AFTER all the "regular" (audio and video on) participants OR put them in alphabetical order mixed in with the regular participants.

 

This new feature(s) would be very helpful to me and to many teachers who use zoom to lead group discussions!!

Unstable Connection With really fast Internet Connection

We’ve just moved to a new location and upgraded our internet to a much faster connection — 800Mbps download / 40Mbps upload (previously 100Mbps / 20Mbps).

 

* At our previous location, Zoom ran perfectly on the slower connection — no issues at all with video, audio, or screen sharing.
* Now, with much faster internet, we’re suddenly experiencing constant “unstable network” errors on Zoom.

 

We’re running daily Zoom sessions with shared video and sound, and the connection keeps dropping, lagging, or freezing — seriously disrupting our work.

* No issues with any other platforms or general internet use — only Zoom is affected.
* We've tried all the usual fixes: restarting modems/routers, switching between wired and Wi-Fi, testing different devices — nothing works.

 

This issue is critical for us and needs to be solved immediately.

 

Has anyone experienced something like this? Any advice or insight would be hugely appreciated.

I know Zoom is very excited about the addition of the Zoom Workplace.

But I don't use it, and don't want it on my screen.

Now, every time I start a new Zoom meeting, the Workplace window also starts up/displays.

Don't want that, and don't want to have to click the red-dot close window button every time.

Is there a Setting that permanently disables the appearance of the Zoom Workplace window on my meeting startup?

Broken settings dialog on the last update to version 6.4.10

On the last update to version 6.4.10 (2027), the settings dialog box is broken. The only usable tabs are "Video & effects", "Statistics", "My Account", "Accessibility" and "Keyboard shorcuts". All the other options (including "General"·, "Audio", "No... Show more

On the last update to version 6.4.10 (2027), the settings dialog box is broken. The only usable tabs are "Video & effects", "Statistics", "My Account", "Accessibility" and "Keyboard shorcuts". All the other options (including "General"·, "Audio", "Notifications & sounds",...) are unusable. Their content is restricted to a tiny band on the left of the panel. The right band is just white space.

 

I am using Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS under Wayland (forcing X11 with "unset $WAYLAND_DISPLAY" does not fix this) with an Intel UHD Graphics 730 integrated controller. Zoom version 6.4.6.1370 just worked fine on the same system.
