We have several Dell Inspiron 7560 laptops running Windows 11. Our audio devices are Sennheiser office runners, which are connected to a USB port in a WD22TB4 Dock connected to our laptops. Dell issued a firmware update for the Dock on January 2024 and since then, we experience the following:

- While in a Zoom conference, if we mute/unmute several times (as is normal during typical meetings), eventually we hear a screeching noise in our Sennheiser headsets and we cannot hear audio anymore. The only way to exit this is by resetting our Sennheiser device. This is ONLY happening to those of us that have applied the firmware update and it ONLY happens when we use Zoom. The issue DOESN'T happen if we connect the Sennheiser to a USB port in the laptop itself (which is not very convenient for us)

After a long discussion  with Dell in which we tried several solutions on their side, both sides agreed that this is a Zoom bug.

Has anybody else experienced something similar?

Group seats for coaching sessions

Hey, my company has 4 coaches that do 2-hour long coaching calls every week.

Can we have a set ZOOM link called / coaching and each coach uses that? So that all coaches don't need a paid seat.

Multiple remote control in one meeting?

Is it possible? Is there an app that can help? Is there a competitor to zoom that can do it?

I want a guest in my meeting to be able to control my screen, while another guest controls another one of my devices.

I've been having an issue for about two months now. When I'm in a meeting, no one can hear what I say because the volume is too low.

I attend two meetings a week. The people I meet with each have their own laptops or phones that they use for the meetings. Everyone can hear each other fine, except that no one can hear me clearly. They can hear that I'm speaking, but the volume is so low they can't make out what I'm saying. This happens whether I use my laptop or my phone for these meetings. Attendees can hear one another just fine, the issue is only with me.

When I use my phone for calls or other voice media there's never any trouble with my volume, but when I use Zoom, I'm too quiet to be heard.

I haven't found a place in Zoom settings that can help me with this issue. Can someone help me figure out how to correct this problem?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the issue persists on the laptop whether I use my bluetooth headset or the system sound and microphone, and all Windows microphone settings are at max.

I live in Colorado.  I'm setting up a meeting for my dad when I visit him in November in California (different time zones).  When I look at the Meeting list (Attachment 1) it shows the meeting time as 1:30-2:00 pm.  When I go to Edit the meeting (Attachment 2), it shows the meeting as 12:30-1:00 p.m. which is the correct time I set it up for in California.

I just want to make sure that my computer is making the adjustment in Attachment 1 for the current time zone difference and when I travel to California, the meeting time shown on that list will change to be correct for the Pacific Time Zone.

Also, the date of the meeting is the first day of "falling back" from Daylight Saving time.  Will that have any effect on the link which is set to start at 12:30 p.m. now (during Daylight Saving time) but will be activated during Standard time?

This is something I never noticed myself as I always keep the right-side chat panel open during meetings.  But apparently, as of the April 2022 release of Zoom, there is a Chat Preview popup which appears for in-meeting chat if you do not have the chat panel/popup open.  It hovers over the Chat button briefly every time someone chats:

A user of mine was asking if it was possible to permanently disable this popup, as it is a bit annoying (something I agree with).  If one hits ^ next to the chat button, there is an option to disable this chat preview.  However, unchecking this option only lasts for the duration of your meeting.  If you leave the meeting and join another meeting, the Show Chat Previews option goes back to being turned on by default.

Does anyone know of a way to permanently disable this chat preview, so that it stays off, and doesn't get re-enabled every time one joins a meeting?  I couldn't find any admin settings regarding the in-meeting chat preview, nor any user-level settings.

It is true that having the chat panel open prevents these previews from popping up, but some users might not want to have the chat panel open nor have the preview pop up.

Resolved! Timezone of Dashboard

I have a question about the Zoom Dashboard.

I would like to view a bar chart in the Zoom Dashboard in JST(Japan Standard Time) instead of UTC.

Could I change timezone of the Zoom Dashboard?

Is there any way to disable the upgrade prompt in the Linux client? When a new release is available directly from the Zoom website a prompt is displayed in the client saying "A new version is available! Update"

Our users all use Ubuntu 22.04 and have Zoom installed from the Ubuntu repository through the package manager.

If users click on the prompt within Zoom they can select their Linux type and download the new release from the Zoom website.

When they install the .deb file they have downloaded from the Zoom website a second version of Zoom is installed alongside the existing one.

Is there any way to disable the upgrade prompt from within our account settings?
