I have office hours for online classes I teach, on Zoom. When a student wants to meet with me, I see a small notification window appear at the top of the zoom meeting window, letting me know that they are waiting to have me let them join the meeting.

 

My question is--if I am looking at another program on my laptop, and come back to the zoom meeting window, say 15 or 30 seconds after that notification first appeared---will the notification still be visible at the top of the zoom meeting window? How long does that notification window stay visible?

I am unable to uninstall Zoom from the control panel Program and Features.  it cannot find the file

Also unable to update, it is saying the version has to be higher.

using free version.

I am running an assessment centre's/ interviews on Zoom. Within a breakout room I am required to share a document but I need the 'candidate' to be able to scroll up and down to view the doc during the prep time. The catch is that I can't send the document to the candidate.

 

Is this possible when sharing the screen?

I am trying to record meetings for later sharing with others.  I do not know which version of Zoom is on my 2021  ASUS Chromebook but there isn't a record button visible. I also do not see anything under the "more" button about recording. Should I update the version?  I have already done that twice.  Nothing comes up. 

 

On a side note, the "virtual backgrounds don't work on this version (or computer) either.

when i test if my video works in the zoom app on my chromebook acer c720 it works and then in a meetng i cant even select my camera, but it did work 2 weeks ago

Call termination when a PC reboots

MY pc restarted in the middle of a call I was hosting via my personal room. During that time, Zoom left the call open and slid the host role to someone else on the call. Is that a setting I can disable? Based on the nature of my calls, I would prefer... Show more

MY pc restarted in the middle of a call I was hosting via my personal room. During that time, Zoom left the call open and slid the host role to someone else on the call. Is that a setting I can disable? Based on the nature of my calls, I would prefer zoom to end the call for everyone and I can get them back together at my discretion.

Resolved! Do meetings timeout after 40mins for free users when hosted by a paid user

If a free user attends a meeting hosted by a paid Licensed user will the meeting for the free user timed out after 40 mins? or as it's hosted by a license user the free user will be able to continue in the meeting until the host disconnects?

UI issues with Zoom and Mac OS

I am running Zoom 5.17.11 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4 and experiencing the following odd behavior:

 

1. During a Zoom meeting, when I click on a window other than Zoom and then click back on Zoom the volume automatically drops 50-75%

2. I cannot type anything into Chat

3. When I click on Mute or Stop Video the secondary menus appear and then disappear. I cannot, for example, change my speakers. Same with Security and Participants. They don't work. 

 

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?
