I work for a non-profit and we hold various meetings each month. These are hosted by a whole range of different people who either work for us or are members of the non-profit. It has become quite a clunky process to have so many people have a login to our Zoom account.

During our conference last year, I created approx 20 different licenced Zoom accounts as we had multiple sessions running concurrently and we used host keys instead of a login. This was a much easier process although it seemed that we had to have the waiting room turned off for this feature.

Is there any way to have a host key enabled but to still have a waiting room? Some of our meetings are highly sensitive so we still need this security of a waiting room. Might be important to note that we use the Personal Meeting ID as opposed to scheduling individual meetings.

Both computers have the same 5.17.2 version of Zoom.

Am I missing a setting, how can I get the green icon bon my MacBook.

Thanks for any help.

I got this error for a meeting I'd scheduled for 11. I had just ended some earlier meetings with the same client with no problem. When I got this error, I was not able to join my own meeting, so I deleted the zoom location and added a new one using the Outlook add-in. Once I did that, I restarted my meeting. My internal colleagues were then easily able to join the meeting, but none of the external clients were able to join.

How do I prevent this from happening in future?

Hello Community,

I understand I can get a list of unique participants via reporting in Zoom administration. But anywhere else in reporting and at the dashboard the shown number of participants is not unique. It always counts participants multiple times due to breakout rooms and leaving and joining meetings.

We are collecting data via Zoom API but I cannot find a method where I get the correct unique number of participants. I have a script to remove double entries but is there no way to get unique participant numbers directly from Zoom API?

Greetings Eric

When someone sets up a meeting using my Calendly app, it automatically creates a Zoom meeting.  However, I have existing meeting templates that I would like to apply to those meetings, and after the meeting is created, there does not seem to be a way to use "edit" mode to apply a meeting template.  Can this be fixed so that you can retroactively apply the template after scheduling the meeting?   My templates have poll questions in them that it's a pain to recreate, so applying the template is a huge timesaver.   I don't want to have to create a new meeting, because then I'd have to send a new invitation/link to the person who scheduled the meeting using Calendly, and suddenly Calendly is no longer a timesaver.

I'm looking for an easy solution for my 92 year old mother who struggles every time we want to contact her.

I have created a Shortcut on my mother's iPad to take her to our usual meeting with one click and embedded the meeting link URL in the Shortcut but when she uses this it only gets her to the Zoom meeting selection as if she had clicked on the Zoom icon. It does not bypass the Meeting ID and Passcode as it would if she clicked on the URL in an email for example. Is there a way to access the meeting in this way without having to enter everything?

Also, is there a way to default the Audio to Computer so that she doesn't have to select that either?

How to update Zoom in desktop without Uninstalling?

I can't login as its says I need to update the latest version. However, I can't update it either without logging in.

Worst possible option is to uninstall and then re-install?

I use zoom-sdk-ios-5.17.1.12530 and custom UI.
when user join meeting and enters the waiting room - I got status

MobileRTCMeetingState_InWaitingRoom.

And I want to leave this meeting - I do

MobileRTC.shared().getMeetingService()?.leaveMeeting(with: .leave) - and after that i get only status

MobileRTCMeetingState_Disconnecting (the meeting never ends) - and when i try to enter this meeting again or any other (let response = service.joinMeeting(with: param)) I get error 152 inAnotherMeeting

It only happens if I try to leave the meeting from the waiting room - in all other cases, I can leave the meeting MobileRTC.shared().getMeetingService()?.leaveMeeting(with: .leave)  and get status -

MobileRTCMeetingState_Ended

Looking for a simple way our meeting participants can give instant and ongoing feedback on our presentations, which tend to be for educating and selling.  I don't want to stop and pop up a survey.  Is there a tool that allows them to quickly post, for example, a thumbs up or a thumbs down or question mark as I go through each slide? THANKS!

As part of my search for instant and ongoing research during a presentation, I realized emojis might be a solution.  But the host needs to be able to control the emojis.  For example, I just need 3 to 5.  The rest are just confusing.  And, I need a way to record the emojis over time and/or by participant.  Trying to understand how meeting participants are reacting to the content/slides.  Thank you.
