Zoom on Windows 11 lags and freezes and is not useable. There are many posts referring to this problem, and they are marked as 'solved' by copying a 2 month old email promising a resolution and saying that it 'relatively works' - a response that is basically like spitting in your customer's face . Please tell us when we can expect a functional release of Zoom for Windows 11?

I have a MacBook Air (OS Venture 13.5) and Zoom (version 5.17.5). When I use Zoom through my browser, or through the Zoom app on my computer or iPhone SE, I do not have the option for Remote Control. I can share my screen, but I don't have the option for Remote Control.

In Zoom settings, Basic Meetings Remote Control option is on.

In my Mac Privacy settings, Zoom can access the camera, and Remote Management is on.

Thanks for any suggestions.

We use Zoom for  meetings.

We have people sitting onsite and people logging in via Zoom.

We have a PC connected to a TV monitor so that onsite people can see people on Zoom.

(We turn off audio & video on the PC as we just want to display Zoom on TV monitor for onsite people.)

We keep the PC/TV in Gallery mode (so onsite people can see Zoom people) and then MANUALLY SWITCH to Speaker mode when someone on Zoom speaks. Then we MANUALLY SWITCH back to Gallery mode when the speaker is done. It would be nice if there were a third option that did this automatically.

The PC is not close to where onsite people are sitting and we connect PC to TV via HDMI cable so we need a person sitting next to the PC to do the manual switching. If Zoom had a third option, we wouldn't need the extra person doing the switching.

We tried replacing the HDMI cable with Chromecast and Apple Play but then there is a noticeable delay betweeen the sound of the person's voice and their lip movements so, for us, HDMI is the way to go.

For our setup, HDMI length limitations make it necessary to have someone sitting at the PC to do the switching.

Another question: I couldn't find a way to submit this request directly to Zoom support. If anyone knows a way to do that, please let me know.

Thanks.

I have been using zoom as a user (vs. an admin) from my laptop with no issues (my email is my user-id).

I just downloaded the app on my iPhone and tried to logon to it. The app sends an email with a verification code to my email (which is teh same as my user-id) but I never receive an email with the code. And yes I checked my spam folder as well. Any suggestions as what I should do next will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I tune in to meeting on various computers (PCs) that do not have microphones. It only makes sense that zoom does not have access to the microphone, but it is absolutely infuriating that every few seconds the audio gets cut to prompt that the browser does not have access to the microphone.

I tried to check in the zoom settings, and the microphone selection is defaulted to "Same as system", and there is no option to disable the microphone.

How does one disable the prompt?

Thank you.

Hello there, my image is showing in a  whole green tint. I've tried to run it in other platforms and apps and the image of my camera is perfectly fine. It' has to be something with Zoom specifically. I uninstalled zoom completely updated it, removed the acceleration hardware in video settings advanced, reinstalled the last zoom version and my camera is still in green color. I'm on Sonoma 14.2 (intel based). Please help!

EDIT: Finally the problem was solved. Had to buy another Mac, but I solved it. If you are running an old mac with Open Legacy Patcher, don't expect Zoom to work properly.

Thank you

Wrong date and time in registration confirmation email

A large number of participants received the registration confirmation with the date and time of Kyiv and we're in California! Why did this occur and how can I be sure it doesn't happen in the future? TIA

I use Zoom to record lectures. It it inconvenient that the "Record," "Pause," "Stop Recording" buttons are not in the Control bar, but are instead in the drop-down menu. I often need to pause my recording quickly because, for example, my dog starts barking. It cannot be done quickly when they are in the drop-down menu rather than as obvious easily-accessible icons on the control bar.
Is there a way users can determine what is on the control bar rather than only the default options?

Thank you.
