Hello,

I am planning a big zoom event with about 200-500 people which I want to give the possibility to interact with the speaker – so maybe better a big meeting with 500 people is better than a webinar to give all the possibility to add their web cam and to interact? The Zoom will be translated in English and German and I know about the wonderful new feature, that the cloud recording is also saving each language audio to give the possibility to have also the audio interpretation afterwards which I want to use. Is this feature also available for the Big Meeting (500 or 1000) add-on or just for the Webinar add-on?
The zoom is on Monday 20th November so thank you for a quick answer.

The scenario is as follows:

*** A Zoom meeting, expected to have more than 500 participants, and breakout rooms used. (Note that a Zoom large-meeting expansion will be taken).

*** Pre-assignment to breakout rooms will be done beforehand (loading pre-assignment csv via Zoom web-portal), relying on email addresses of registrants (taken from the registration report).

*** Planned number of breakout rooms is 16 to 32 rooms.

*** HOWEVER, we expect late registrants, even after the Zoom meeting has been launched, and we wish to accommodate them.

*** The plan is to rely on the pre-assigned breakout rooms, and then, for the late registrants we plan to  perform manual assignment during the meeting (to those same rooms).

*** The meeting starts with a plenary section (before breakout rooms are opened), during which much of the late-registrants could be assigned to breakout rooms. The plan was to do that  within the Zoom-app (desktop app / Windows).

BUT the following questions and concerns arise:

*** Considering the section "Limitations of meeting breakout rooms" from support article

 https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0062540

"Up to 100 breakout rooms and up to 1000 participants can be pre-assigned to breakout rooms."

*QUESTION 1. Under the scenario described above (pre-assigned breakout rooms, but during the meeting also adding late registrants to those breakout rooms), what behaviour can be expected from Zoom (assuming if we have more than 500 participants? Will the other limitations described in KB0062540 allow assignment of participants if we exceed the other limits indicated in the article?
*QUESTION 2. If changes to the pre-assigned rooms are made via the web portal, AFTER launching the Zoom meeting (but before opening the breakout rooms), will Zoom be able to use those changed pre-assigned rooms?

I have a brand new laptop ASUS Vivobook S15 running Windows 11. The speakers are Realtek (R) and drivers are up to date. Both on Zoom app and using Zoom through a browser (Chrome), the sound quality from the laptop speakers is terrible - very low volume, scratchy sound, breaks up.

For all other purposes (i.e. YouTube, games, websites), the speakers are perfect. At 100% volume they are very loud when tested through the computer settings. It is ONLY Zoom that has this problem.

I searched these forums and through changing settings as discussed I discovered that if I disallow Zoom (and other desktop apps) access to the microphone, the speakers work fine. If I toggle the settings back to allow Zoom access to the microphone, the speakers work clear UNTIL I test the microphone. After that, they revert to the deeply unsatisfactory output already described.

Sadly I need both the microphone and the speakers at the same time to work for Zoom.

Please help!

Kay

Hi Folks, my music students have had a few significant problems with Zoom these past few weeks; one is that some are being told they need a commercial Zoom account to log into my room when they never have before. Second, is the audio settings have changed, again, making it nearly impossible for participants *not using audio interfaces to "broadcast" anything but their voice. Mac, PC, tablet, phone whatever, even the original sound for musician's setting doesn't fix this. I know this used to work perfectly when they just called it "noise suppression" (pen clicks, dog barks etc) but not so anymore.

I'd appreciate any help as I'm losing some online students as a result of this.

¿Cómo funciona la disponibilidad de los servicios de Zoom en general?

Me pregunto si existe algún portal donde venga la descripción de infraestructura de Zoom para mantener el servicio con alta disponibilidad.
