Hello Zoom Community,
I recently purchased the Hollyland LARK M2 wireless microphones, and they work perfectly on my Android device in general. However, when I try to use them in Zoom (Android and iOS), the app does not recognize them as an available microphone option. Instead, Zoom defaults to using the built-in microphone of my phone, with no way to manually select the LARK M2 as the primary audio input.
Steps I've Tried:
1. Verified that the LARK M2 is properly connected before launching Zoom.
2. Checked Zoom's microphone permissions in Android and iOS settings.
3. Tested the microphones in other apps (they work fine).
4. Updated both the Zoom app and the LARK M2 firmware.
5. Tried third-party recording apps that allow selecting external microphones (which work).
The Problem:
Unlike on a PC, where Zoom allows selecting different microphone inputs, the mobile version of Zoom seems to lack an option to manually select an external microphone. This is frustrating because many content creators and professionals rely on external audio solutions for better sound quality.
Questions for the Zoom Team & Community:
Is there any way to force Zoom to use an external microphone (LARK M2) on mobile devices?
Are there any plans to add a feature that allows manual microphone selection in Zoom for Android/iOS?
Has anyone found a workaround or third-party solution to override the phone’s default microphone setting for Zoom?
Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best,

Unfortunately, Zoom for Android is low in the development queue and requests like this are still considered 'niche'.
Really unacceptable to Zoom does not have manual audio i/o selection for every OS by this point in time.
Others have found success with Android + external BT audio using the steps outlined in the thread here: https://community.zoom.com/t5/Zoom-Meetings/Zoom-app-will-not-switch-audio-to-Bluetooth/m-p/30623
Worth a look. Will likely require some cache clearing, a device reboot, and a prayer.
